Not to sound too self-important, but every week I do the LLL stream I show up with 2 objectives 1) Entertain whomever decides to log on to my stream and 2) play a better set I played the week before. There's lots of incredible DJs out there I admire, but ultimately, I'm only locked in a competition with myself.  Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. This week felt like a win compared to last week. There's deep stuff, running liquid, weird ass dubby bassline rollers, some sci-fi liquid, minimal tech, uplifting dancefloor stuff... Let's see what next week holds.

What was supposed to be a fun makeup of a canceled LLL session kind of took a turn when my main computer sh*t the bed during set prep on the Sunday morning of my birthday. I spent most of the day trying to revive a dead computer and making trips to Best Buy to get parts. By the time 7pm rolled around it was time to play and I still hadn't rescued my music off of it so I just played off USB. Just basically went live, ready to blow off some pent up frustration.

Lots of tech and neuro bits in the beginning and then moved into some true school golden era classics. Techstep and neuro with some classic liquid at the very end. Might have gotten a tiny bit sloppy in places, since I was playing my own vinyl rips of old classics. It was quite hard to keep a constant volume because of all the fluctuations in fidelity (and the 3 beers I consumed in rapid succession 😅)

Thankfully, with all the friends that tuned in showing love in the chat, it was easy to let go of the foul mood I was in when I started. All in all I'm glad I pressed on and did the stream despite the disappointing day. The healing power of music.... Thank you guys so much for hanging with me on my birthday. Much love ❤️

This sesh has a little bit of everything. Because of a busy work week I didn't have all that much time to hunt down a bunch of new music. I still fit a good amount in here, balanced out by some classic favorites of mine and picks from the last couple of years that maybe didn't get a lot of spins from me at the time. Things start on a soulful /jazzy liquid note into some more driving, chunky classic-style liquid about 45 minutes in. Second hour is more on a dub roller vibe mixed with some minimal tech rollers ending with some uplifting vibe stuff at the end where I kept playing a bit longer waiting to raid @doughdj's channel. Good crowd in the chat this week and happy spring vibes (at least for us in Georgia). Thanks to my LLL crew for coming through, catch you guys on the next one!
