Torie’s sound is multifaceted – to say the least. Coming from a global upbringing and current home base in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has been curating sonic adventures as a DJ and event producer for a decade. Torie interweaves elements of breakbeats, house, minimal, dark & driving techno, garage, acid, and drum and bass – balancing a line between heavy-hitting basslines and soulful vocals with ear-catching melodies.

She believes in the power of groove and always plays with one core intention in mind: to bring newfound life to the dancefloor.

As a core lead of Inquiry Collective and Inquiry Records, a builder & maker with Burning Man art cars ICARUS and Dusty Rhino, a resident DJ of You’re Welcome SF, and a co-founder of Dance With Haha, Torie draws inspiration from the dusty plains of the playa, the curious explorations of the Mojave desert, the underground dancefloors of SF, & the interstellar endeavors of ICARUS & its motley crew.

Torie has performed with KiNK, Superflu, Justin Martin, Overmono, Maya Jane Coles, Smilk, Anja Schneider, Tale of Us, Patrice Baumel, Marbs, Mikey Lion, Porky and Evan Casey, Rinzen, Dance Spirit, Eskuche, Marques Wyatt, Tycho, KMLN, Sabo, Justin Jay, Hoj, Kevin Knapp, Shiba San, Joeski and more. 

You may have also seen her with renowned crews like Space Cowboys, Distrikt, Ego Trip, and Desert Hearts – at the annual Breakfast of Champions block party on New Year’s Day for six consecutive years – or on the festival circuit at events including Lightning in a Bottle, Outside Lands, EDC Las Vegas, Northern Nights, Desert Hearts, The Untz Festival, Umbrella Weekend, Enigma, and Outside in Equinox. 

In 2025, you can find Torie throwing renegades and pop-ups with the Inquiry crew across California in clubs, deserts, undisclosed locations and beyond… as well as performing in SF, SD, Reno, LA and more.

Jimi’s style and approach to DJing is as upfront as it is challenging.
He constantly aims to push the conventional musical boundaries to provide his sound.
By allowing the development and exploration of his mixes within the broad spectrum of electronic music to expand and evolve, Jimi uniquely blends tracks that stimulate an audience, whilst taking them on a voyage that enables their total captivation.

2018 was a successful year as a DJ & producer with a series of collaborations, exclusives and high profile events which enabled Jimi to develop his artist profile, releasing an EP on Mystic Carousel Records with the DJ/Producer ‘Shemsu’.
Bookings during 2018 in Bristol, Essex, Manchester and Ibiza, saw Jimi feature alongside some industry heavyweights including Guy Mantzur & Jody Wisternoff, whilst promoting his own ‘Alchemy’ event in Birmingham.
Further associations during 2018 with established UK brands - Jimi was seen working with Basement 77 (Birmingham), The Prog Lab (Bristol) and #UpCloseAndPersonalMcr (Manchester) coupled with two sell-out shows during the summer & winter for circle. Ibiza at OD Ocean Drive (Ibiza) & The Dark Horse (Birmingham).

In 2019 Jimi went on to undertake further collaborations with #UpCloseAndPersonalMcr & the acclaimed brand ‘Data Transmission’. The Data Transmission collaboration saw Jimi gain the position as a monthly resident alongside label resident, Craig Pailing - delivering the digital label imprint exclusive monthly show ‘Alchemy’ which has successfully continued throughout 2020.

Further guest mixes throughout 2019 were broadcast on Volkan Erman’s [BPM Digital] platform, Blue Amazon's - A Rec [Frisky Radio] Show & circle. Ibiza [Frisky Radio/DI.FM]. All mixes featured were exclusive live recordings, delivering the most upfront and unreleased tracks from labels & producers alike from around the globe.

Building on 2019 achievements, 2020 is proving to be yet another successful year. Early on in 2020 Jimi gained a permanent residency with the UK brand – PFG. This has seen Jimi deliver ‘live weekly podcasts’ since May, coupled with regular monthly guest mixes for various brands, including Blue Amazon’s - A Rec Show [Frisky Radio] & Artist of the Week [Frisky Radio].

Biography

Craig Pailing – DJ from Birmingham, UK & Co-Label Manager of Plethora Muzik, Digital Deep Progressive House and Tech imprint.

 After 25 years Craig is still hunting down the best music in the industry and, the music he sources has progressed from the early days of piano house and trance, now into a deeper progressive house and techno sound.
 
March 2018 saw Craig take on the responsibility as joint promoter for the ‘Alchemy’ event in Birmingham – an album launch event of the Blue Amazon & Zak Gee ‘Interpretations Album’ in association with (Se-Lek Musik) Plethora Muzik (Birmingham) at the renowned Tunnel Club (Birmingham).
 
Further associations during the past year include established UK brands such as Basement 77 (Birmingham) which saw Craig billed alongside influential local artists, as well as featuring on guest mixes for the label, on the Plethora Muzik Radio Show – DNA Radio (Argentina) & many more.
 
2019 has seen Craig undertake further collaborations with circle. Ibiza in Birmingham & as a resident DJ for the digital label imprint Craig has featured alongside Jimi Falconer every month on the highly acclaimed Plethora Muzik Alchemy Data Transmission Radio Show.
 
Further bookings are also on the horizon in August where once again Craig and Jimi will team up, this time with Up Close & Personnel Manchester supporting none other than the legendary Dave Seaman.
 
Craig has also moved into producing, his debut track ‘F-Bomb’ will be available for download later this year.
A set from Craig today includes Deep Melodic Progressive House with deep base undertones.
 
Being a perfectionist he aims to seamlessly transport the crowd from one track to the next. As a fan of the music as well as a being a DJ, Craig understands the crowd in front of him and aims to not only take the crowd on a journey but to join them.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. I do mixes both on my decks and using Ableton, as sometimes I find it easier to create a journey through that medium. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.
