Introducing something very special to the 1 More Mix series… Our first ever b2b mix hosted with live vocals!

A long time in the making due to all three individuals being so in demand and having such prolific release rates the project took root this summer with the release of Psychedelics, the trio’s first collaborative release. 

Released on Pilot and coming complete with a deliciously trippy video, it marks the start of a new creative relationship between the two producers and singer. A relationship you can tangibly feel on this excellent mix.

Dropping on the highly esteemed Architecture Recordings Imprint, legendary Drum & Bass producer Ink teams up again with cinematic artist Loomis along side soulful, powerful vocalist Kaybee to deliver the nostalgic ‘Resolution’.

Consisting of 4 mixes to inhabit the different corners of drum and bass, the original is a rolling soulful feast; with cinematic piano melodies and organic strings, infused with sweeping vocals, stabbed bass and growls to take you to the deepest melancholy, yet inspirited realms.

With a nod back to the early drum and bass days that have shaped the scene today, the Heritage mix infuses big emotive pads, multiple bass layers and stunning vocals, laid over driven breaks; delivering a punch and skirting from dark to light, with exactly the right balance of emotion and drive.

One for the DnB purists, the Nova Mix ticks the boxes for those that inhabit the darker corners of the dance floor; distorted, menacing amen rolls, moody pads, stabs and reversed piano moments, all underpinned by a dangerously dark bass and punchy subs. 

To finish off the release, we’re treated with a beautiful, beat-less cinematic outro which highlights the more melodic ingredients; with lush layered strings and emphasised bass crescendos, the Outro is the cherry on the cake of this quintessential drum and bass release.

The release drops this Friday night (17th Feb 2023) @7pm (GMT) with an exclusive band camp digital release along side ultra limited 10” hand cut dub plates - containing the Original and Heritage Mix. Check out Architecture Recordings Bandcamp page for more info.

Guess what?! Here’s another guest mix! Next up, we are excited to have UKF regular - pyxis! 

Having been in the scene for many years, she has taken inspiration from the jungle and liquid side of Drum & Bass. She has worked with many respected producers, such as, Mitekiss, Iris, Nickbee, Kleu, Phil:osophy and Low:r. She has also released on big labels like Pilot, Spearhead, Four Corners, and Soul Deep.

pyxis doesn’t stop there, she has her own label too, Beats In Mind, a non-profit platform that champions new talent with regular VA drops, all strictly to raise funds for mental health organisations. It’s a cause close to pyxis heart as her acute social anxiety has led to her being unable to attend events for a great deal of her adult life and taken her off the well-beaten club and rave track almost all artists tread.

With these inspirations, be ready for pure vibes and mood setters. Be sure to follow this talent’s rise!

She has also promised a sneak-peak at new releases from herself and other artists, so keep your ears out!
