This month's mix comes courtesy of UK based DJ Zed. The founder of the Skankout streaming collective on Facebook, Zed gave a platform for DJs to perform when the world went into lockdown. Fostering a community far and wide over the globe, Zed & Skankout have given DJs and listeners alike to discover new audiences and performers, whilst pushing the sound of drum and bass. The platform has also given opportunity to new up and coming DJs to hone their skills infront of an audience. 
In this mix, Zed takes it back to the "Golden Era" of drum and bass, a time when he was cutting his teeth as a DJ, playing in dark and sweaty clubs in London.

The Soul Deep stalwart brings his signature sound back to the imprint in impressive fashion.  The Escape EP puts Dash's outstanding production skills on full display, as he has crafted 5 tracks that must be played on the dancefloor.  His style draws from original Jungle sounds from the '90's, blending the classic sounds with modern elements, creating infectious grooves that make you want to move.  He works out some classic Liquid vibes on “Escape,” blending heavy drums, slamming 808 bass sounds, jazzy horns, and slamming percussion.  “Wild Style,” is up next and takes a heavier approach, utilizing some edgier and more modern sounds to the mix. Omni Music welcomes newcomer Deadfall to the label with 4 tracks of deep atmospheric beats. Alpha Centauri starts the EP with serene pads, chopped amen rhythms and touches of jazz. Convex Obstacles changes the mood but not the deep vibes with a deep cinematic intro before drumfunk beats thunder into action. Next up is Hyperborean with classic breaks, floating pads and evolving melodics. The EP ends with The Code as infectious chopped beats and space-age pads build into a beautiful atmospheric tale. This is a great debut from this new talent and we hope to hear more form him again soon.
