I had the honor to play a dope silent disco set to a packed outdoor floor for Opel 22. Special shoutout to @syd-gris for having me. I knew Gorgon City and Azzecca would be throwing down hard inside so I thought: Give the people some classic house that fills the soul. We went on a journey through all sorts of soulful and jackin classics, even some UKG, and I even threw in a couple of originals and reworks. Nick 'Hayz' Hayward and Andy Roden are well established names on the UK hard dance scene, with several releases between them on various big hard dance labels such as Tidy Trax, Shock Records, Defiant Digital, Hi Five Digital and loads more. Now they've teamed up to bring us this chunky pumping house banger with a very naughty vocal sample and a cheeky Dinky Records-style stab hook! 'Take It' has already had lots of support from Amber D and DJ Brisk on their live streams, and it comes with a fantastic remix from Belgian producer Ragel Mood, who's given the track his trademark classic bouncy hard house style flip. We first discovered Joyce Muniz aka "Our Favorite Brazilian Firecracker" when Sabo asked her to remix him and Mikey Lion's track 'Sally' earlier this year. She came back and delivered the ultimate heater on that EP and we could just tell from the energy of that track that we needed her at the festival. Sabo gave us a heads up that Joyce was wild, but this homegirl came in hotter than ever and blew us away with her infectious energy. We talk a lot about DJs that we vibe with at our parties, but it was clear from the get go that Joyce was was one of us. Whether on the decks or not, she entertained the fuck out of us and we're so happy to welcome her to the Desert Hearts Family.
