We’re very pleased to welcome back Belgian drum and bass producer Solace to Dispatch Limited, last seen on the label in 2020.

This special two-track release began life in the first lockdown of 2020. Finding the extra time to be creative a benefit, Solace was able to find a new passion and drive in his production output. But when it came to giving the track ‘Liminal Space’ a name, the lockdown started feeling strange. Empty roads, airports, city centres was a very unusual experience. Just like being at an empty airport at night, which is a classic liminal space. To be in a liminal space means to be on the precipice of something new but not quite there yet. You can be in a liminal space physically, emotionally, or metaphorically. Being in a liminal space can be incredibly uncomfortable for most people.

‘Repeat’ is also inspired by the restrictions of lockdown and life during the pandemic, perhaps in a more direct way than ‘Liminal Space.’ The title of the track came first, inspiring the whole production, and guiding the creative output of Solace.

'The Inside Eye EP' sees Ben Soundscape return to Dispatch Recordings for a four-track release that reflects on his own creative process. It is centred around the importance of trusting your inside eye as your primary source of inspiration. Rather than being overly influenced by everything around you, creativity should come from within. 

Fans of Ben Soundscape will be familiar with his use of vocal samples, and this EP is no exception. These play a big part in telling the story of the EP, especially on the lead track 'The Inside Eye' - "Every work you make has to be a surprise to the Earth, a seeing that's never happened before."

The same is true of 'Do It Up' and 'No One's Watching' as they feature samples from one of Ben's favourite TV shows. Aiming to create an EP that was both dancefloor friendly and suitable for home listening, these two tracks capture the perfect combination of light and dark. 

'It's All Music' is perhaps the most minimal track on the EP with stripped back drums and cut up hip-hop beats, it adds to the mysterious edge that runs throughout this EP. 

A welcome return for this talented Bristolian, who continues to hone his craft and showcase new production techniques.

The spanish label introduces for the first time this concept in which concepts like halftime, jungle and future beats collide in a colorful release aimed to the most purist heads with six tracks from various artists around the globe.  

Behind this release you’ll find some new and old faces, including Khramer, Medok and Peron and giving the welcome to BMA, Hystatus, Offish and Trainsient. A diverse release both in style and origin, as artists on the release are from across Europe and USA. 

The first track on the EP is brought by Peron, ‘My Universe’ is a jungle track with an old-school cut but with futuristic touches and some frenzy amen patterns. The second track is by Offish, ‘Persistence’ will draw the line on dark halftime that will be found later in this EP, like with the third track ‘Sekkle’ by Transient. As the fourth track we have the insigne ‘Parallel Amen’ by Khramer, as obvious with a lot of the famous sample inside but this time with a much more modern version of the subgenre. As the anteroom for the end of this release we’ll find ‘Escape’ by BMA, a half tempo tune where the drums are the protagonist. Closing the release the Belgian duo Medok and Hystatus will bring us ‘Habits’, future beats with the usual elegance of these two young promises. 

A release from Parallel Depth that’s aimed to work as a call for explorative and different artists that are looking for a home for their music.
