UNCP004 welcomes @salamander_yen, a producer and DJ residing in Taipei, Taiwan. 

Yen started mixing on vinyl in 2004 and lived through the shift of analog to digital. Since then, he has established himself as a top local act in Taipei. Also running his own night, @soma-taipei, which has brought the likes of Paula Temple, Mørbeck, Adriana Lopez, Dax J, UVB, Developer and many more to the small island of Taiwan. 

And now, Yen delivers us this mix which is bound to puncture your ears with the full spectrum of audio waves. Seamlessly transitioning from low to high tempos and breakbeat kick patterns to four-to-the-floor sequences. The mix carries an electro-esque sound, but maintains a rugged techno-like exterior. 

The Unconfined podcast series is setting out to explore the ever-expanding sphere of noises that the electronic spectrum offers.
