Some of the tracks are old and deeply sentimental to me, but in today’s world and climate, it felt right to bring them back and play with them. 

The mix has its flaws, I know—but that’s exactly what I love about underground sound: the rawness, the emotion, the imperfection.

I enjoy exploring wonderfully bizarro melodies cling to crisped percussion, all shrouded in a smokey blanket of saturation. 

Haunting basslines, exotic resonance howls, sludgy synths drowning in the umbra, diabolical carnival organs, and stygian vocals.

The next iteration of the MK-ULTRA mix series is presented by Scottish-born artist & DJ swærm who crafts a visceral and uncompromising sound rooted deep in the underbelly of body music. Drawing from the raw textures of early industrial, the brooding atmospheres of wave, the menacing urgency of post-punk, and a wide spectrum of dark electronic influences, his sound is a confrontational yet hypnotic fusion, designed as much for physical movement as for psychological immersion.

As the founder and curator of N.I.M [Northern Industrial Movement], swærm pushes his vision beyond the studio. The label and accompanying podcast series serve as a platform for highlighting artists and sounds that echo the label's ethos: cold, raw, and relentless.
