Our podcast series has hit the 50 milestone and we are delighted to share with you some more heat, straight out of Medellin, Columbia.

We welcome the Ravetop Records boss to celebrate episode 50.

Ravetop, is the alias of DJ and Prolific producer Juan Camilo. As a lover of the Electroclash scene as well as broken rhythms, Ravetop seeks to abstract the most selected sounds from the dance floors that he has explored as a spectator through the years, playing in the rhythm with house and techno patterns in convergence of raw
synthesis from EBM and Industrial.

With releases on labels such as; Up North Records, Soil Records, Buraco and Pildoras Tapes, as well as on his own imprint Ravetop Records, he has made a big impact on both the Columbian and South American scene in recent year.

Imperial Black Unit is an EBM/ Industrial technoïd duo formed by Lapse of Reason and Templer in 2017. Their sound is characterized by a blend of early EBM/ Industrial vibes with today's sensibilities. By using an anti-establishment attitude and militaristic esthetic on top of hard rhythms, screams and sharp synths, they create an intense fusion of the past and the present.

Her own aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s industrial, EBM, and sleazy synth with dark techno and noise - creating an aggressive and dismal soundscape that is unarguably danceable. With her music she aims to challenge the expectations within the confines of this masculine genre, often focusing on the ideas of revenge and strength through a woman’s perspective.
