The fifth release on ZR back in 1991, "Do What You Feel" was the track that really put Dave Lee on the map. The song was one of the anthems of the era and became a Top 40 pop hit when later signed to Virgin/10. 

Unlike many classic dance tracks its never been remixed but now we are releasing 3 new updates. The JN Revival Mix keeps much of the original music but beefs up the drums and bass to make for super fat sounding update. Supernova take the track to a stripped back techy direction for bigger rooms. Whilst Steve Mill's remix is a touch deeper but retaining the magic of the original.

The now Sweden based Ben Worrall aka Crackazat releases many of his productions through the Local Talk label where the start of 2019 saw him remixing label mates Art of Tones, DJ Spinna, Lay-Far, HNNY for his new album, ‘Magic Touch’.

For this Period Works Vol.2 EP he has gone back into the ZR archives and selected three new accapella’s to create his new productions.

‘Fly Away’ features live keys from Crackazat himself taking the track into his trademark piano house sound. ‘I’ll Be There’ hits the same classic house sound while ‘Some Day’ goes deeper and more laidback with vocal loops and bass groove.

Razor-N-Tape co-head JKriv delivered a modern disco anthem for his first outing on Z Records with the original release of ‘Vertigo’ featuring vocals from Escort’s Adeline. Now the two new remixes are available digitally for the first time.

Yuksek is French electronic producer who has been releasing music since 2002 on labels such as Sound of Barclay, Relish, Savoir Faire, his own Partyfine imprint as well as JKriv’s Razor-N-Tape. His remix of Vertigo adds tougher drums under Adeline’s vocals, perfect for the summer.

Joey Negro’s Spirit of 78 remix takes inspiration from the work of Canadian disco supremo Gino Soccio. Built around a hypnotic synth pulse, adding layers of funky guitar and dubby horns. Some dramatic chord changes make the most of the tension and release between verse and chorus sections.

Doug Willis – Dancin’ 2020 (Joey Negro Extended Rebuild)

This is the debut release from Frankyeffe on Noir Music and something we have spent a lot of time putting together. Three original tracks have been crafted perfectly over time. Two of them (Determination and Out Of Focus) are banging acid tunes and the last one (Seriousness) has a little more laid  back and melodic vibe.

 Tauchen has done an excellent remix of “Determination” making it more industrial underground and Industrialyzer has brilliantly made “Seriousness” a prime time stomper. In short a fantastic package from which you will probably end up playing more than one track/version.

Luis Radio, Souldynamic & Margaret Grace return with a third and final helping of ‘Dishwater Blues’, offering up five more elegant, soulful House cuts.

The EP opens with ‘Heaven’, a delightfully poised deep groove with powerfully spiritual lyrics from Margaret Grace, jazzy chords and tight, bouncy drums. ‘Supernatureal’ delivers more of a straight up House feel with gospel-influenced organs and life-affirming lyrics, plus a prodigious piano solo. ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ shows off a moodier side of Grace’s songwriting, with atmospheric strings and dramatic chords. ‘Moving On’ lays down a hypnotic groove with rhythmic stabs, over which the vocals simply soar. Finally, bonus track ‘Live, Love Dance’ lays out a pretty good blueprint for a happy existence, with an old-school club feel summoned up by classic 808 drums, rolling bass and chopped-up vocals.

Describing herself as “just an ordinary girl with a big mouth”, Margaret Grace started her recording career in 2007 alongside local crew The Basement Boys, where her meaningful lyrics, effortless control and passionate delivery immediately stood out from the crowd. Margaret Grace and (Basement Boys’) Teddy Douglas have since collaborated on ‘God Created Woman’, ‘Circle of Life’, ‘Free My Mind’, ‘My Love is Not Blind’, ‘Try Me’ and a cover of Nina Simone’s ‘See Line Woman’ to worldwide acclaim. Margaret also covered Leela James’ ‘My Joy’ for producer Quentin Harris.

First releasing on BBE with 2011’s ‘Organismo’, Luis Radio has been a fixture in Rome’s house music scene since the early 80s. An assistant to Tony Humphries early in his career, Luis has gone to DJ at the world’s finest clubs and festivals, as well as collaborating with the likes of Barbara Tucker and Spen.
