Dave Lee joins forces with London’s super disco collective, Horse Meat Disco to rework the T.S Monk classic, 'Candidate For Love'. This debut collaboration also features long-time Sunburst Band vocalists Diane Charlemagne and Donna Gardier.

There are three mixes on offer with the classic Joey Negro Disco Blend, a more sleezy Horse Meat Disco Mix and a Moroder-ish dub version from JN.

Believe it or not this is the 200th Z Records single release which saw a limited pressing on coloured vinyl as an exclusive for Record Store Day 2014, one that sold out within hours of hitting the stores.

Thank god Doug is finally out of prison and with a slammin new 3 track EP on ZR. Please don't let anything you saw on Crime Watch bias you against Mr Williis and his Dougtastic grooves. DW would like to make it known that the account they portrayed of events on the show was very one sided. It was only due to an incident earlier in the evening in a local kebab house with poorly maintained tomato ketchup dispenser that he'd had to discard his trousers. Then by misreading Google maps he'd ended up in the wrong garden at the wrong moment. While Crimewatch didn't even bother to mention he had an ear infection at the time, so couldn't hear any screaming.

Joey Negro presents Doug Willis "Doug Mess on the Dancefloor"

Dave Lee returns under his AC Soul Symphony moniker for a fantastic updated version of the cult early 80’s Rose Royce track "Still In Love".

The track is much more like a remix than a cover, using the original parts with lots of great musicianship present all riding over the fat bass synth driven groove.

Original singer Ricci Benson features on vocals with Tony Remy on guitar, Michele Chiavarini on keys, Simon Williscroft on sax and an 8 piece live string section.

Ricci sounds almost Chaka Khan-ish with the anthemic song shining in the Joey Negro Love Symphony Mix. There is also a groovy Jazz Funk Dub, Reprise and Accapella versions for various times in the day/night/evening/morning.

The next track to be taken from the forthcoming Akabu album The Phuture Ain't What It Used To Be is 'Another World'.

Andre Lodemann strips the original back into a cinematic affair, layered with orchestral strings that simmer with summer vibes, and compliments the rest of the album adding a mellower side.

This new track from Akabu features the soaring neo soul croons of Alex Mills (who you might recognize from Miguel Campbell's ‘Something Special’).

The Joey Negro Strip Mix is unashamedly feel-good with its bouncing, skewed and spraying synths and driving bassline, with pristine production putting many imitators to shame.

The Akabu Warehouse Mix is built on chunky drums and classic claps before rave indebted synths swoop into the mix. Building the tension slowly, the whole thing comes alive with a bobbling bassline and the carefully chopped and spliced diva vocals of Miss Mills.

Yet another timeless and easy to love offering from the studio of Dave Lee.
