Dave Lee dons his Sunburst Band trousers and calls in the vocal talents of Wayne Hernandez with this slice of Brazilian flavoured Jazz Funk ‘Listen Love’ - yes the Jon Lucien jazz dance favourite. The sizzling drums & percussion blend perfectly with the pulsating bassline that allows Wayne to scat and weave his way into the blissed out yet uptempo jazzy keys. For those thinking this would be an even better track if it had a flute solo, we’ve got you covered! with Dave Lee’s ‘Flute Reboot’ for that maximum Latin edged jazz-funk feel.

On the flip two people who need not introducing, Louie Vega & Josh Milan get frenzied on the drums and piano, as they up the ante and deliver a jazz dance fusion clocking in at 9 minutes. Their mix really works up a sweat in the second half as the groove and scatting lock together for an intense rhythmic workout. All in all a very impressive outing.

Dave Lee re-rubs the original to bring out the Holy Spirit with its stompin’ drums,  90’s house bassline, bouncy piano riffs, and hair raising Organ skills courtesy of Incognito’s Matt Cooper. 'Reverend Lee' then turns the jack factor up a notch on his Dub version, focusing the groove and letting the Organ player truly shine on. If this doesn’t have the dancefloor rejoicing then what on earth will?!

The story behind Z Records’ Under The Influence series is this – being a seasoned record collector Z label boss Dave Lee has made the acquaintance of many of the worlds other vinyl junkies. People that may be unknown to the general public but are hardcore enthusiasts who have built some of the best collections of soul, funk and disco on the planet. The idea of UTI isn’t solely about big name DJs compiling albums but to give a musical platform to those who have the knowledge to put together a track listing of killer tunes.

Woody Bianchi is a prolific DJ, producer, remixer and record collector. His International collaborations with Bob Sinclar, Todd Terry, Arthur Baker, Full Intention, Eric Kupper, Jocelyn Brown, Marshall Jefferson and many others have created a remarkable profile for him. He has released over 300 productions worldwide and has toured side by side with many of the scenes greatest names. Here we have the pleasure of delving into his vast collection and plucking some of the rarest records out, with many of the tracks costing hundreds if you were actually able to find the originals.

As always with ZR compilations a lot of time and effort has been spent on creating these masters from the original vinyl, cleaning them up, removing all the clicks and pops resulting in the cleanest sounding copy possible.

C. Da Afro raised in the golden era of the 80's. Soul/Funk & Disco 12'' added to his Vinyl Collection from the age of 13. It was 2009 when he started his first producing steps messing around with disco loops.

Co-owner of Athens Voice Radio 102.5, he has put out his own touch of music, every Saturday at midnight for 13 straight years. 

Until now he has managed to release many groovy disco and disco house tracks, under different labels. Favorite moto: "As Always Just For Fun". Label releases include: Midnight Riot, Editorial Records, Chopshop Music, Springbok Records, Cr2 Records, Sundries, SpinCat Records, Disco Fruit, We Mean Disco, Disco Future, Solid State Disco, About Disco Records, Hot Digits, Alpaca Edits, Masterworks Music, Re-Loved Records and many more.

He has also started releasing his first 12'' vinyl records with Samosa Records, Tropical Disco Records, Love Harder Records and Sound Exhbitions Records in 2019.
