JKriv also turns in a completely different more Chic-esque version on his ‘Kinda Boogie’ Mix. Packing away the synths and bringing the live disco bass and guitar into the spotlight.

Dave Lee dons his Sunburst Band trousers and calls in the vocal talents of Wayne Hernandez with this slice of Brazilian flavoured Jazz Funk ‘Listen Love’ - yes the Jon Lucien jazz dance favourite. The sizzling drums & percussion blend perfectly with the pulsating bassline that allows Wayne to scat and weave his way into the blissed out yet uptempo jazzy keys. For those thinking this would be an even better track if it had a flute solo, we’ve got you covered! with Dave Lee’s ‘Flute Reboot’ for that maximum Latin edged jazz-funk feel.

On the flip two people who need not introducing, Louie Vega & Josh Milan get frenzied on the drums and piano, as they up the ante and deliver a jazz dance fusion clocking in at 9 minutes. Their mix really works up a sweat in the second half as the groove and scatting lock together for an intense rhythmic workout. All in all a very impressive outing.

Z Records continues its commitment to unearthing the obscure and long forgotten tracks from the last 40 years through the ever-popular Under The Influence series. Following on from Red Greg, Paul Phillips, James Glass, Nick The Record, Sean P, Faze Action and Winston. It’s now the turn of one of the Italy’s most impressive collectors; Woody Bianchi.

The story behind Z Records’ Under The Influence series is this – being a seasoned record collector Z label boss Dave Lee has made the acquaintance of many of the worlds other vinyl junkies. People that may be unknown to the general public but are hardcore enthusiasts who have built some of the best collections of soul, funk and disco on the planet. The idea of UTI isn’t solely about big name DJs compiling albums but to give a musical platform to those who have the knowledge to put together a track listing of killer tunes.

Woody Bianchi is a prolific DJ, producer, remixer and record collector. His International collaborations with Bob Sinclar, Todd Terry, Arthur Baker, Full Intention, Eric Kupper, Jocelyn Brown, Marshall Jefferson and many others have created a remarkable profile for him. He has released over 300 productions worldwide and has toured side by side with many of the scenes greatest names. Here we have the pleasure of delving into his vast collection and plucking some of the rarest records out, with many of the tracks costing hundreds if you were actually able to find the originals.

As always with ZR compilations a lot of time and effort has been spent on creating these masters from the original vinyl, cleaning them up, removing all the clicks and pops resulting in the cleanest sounding copy possible.

Sought after Parisian dj & producer Young Pulse is dropping his first EP "Love Will Bring It", the result of his true dedication to the disco sound.

Renowned for his sound signature on reworks of disco/boogie tunes from the late 70's - early 80's, and his successful remixes of french pop legends like Veronique Sanson, Françoise Hardy, Sheila… it was just about time to release his own material !

The single "Love Will Bring It" is an original disco track involving the powerful South African singer Natalie Nova. "There's Never Been (No One Like You)" is a cover of the undergound disco-boogie favorite, and the third track is a garage spin of the classic "Keep The Fire Burning" with the warm vocals of UK house singer Natasha Watts.

"Love Will Bring It" is an uplifting EP, crafted for today's dancefloors. Produced with love, passion, admiration and respect for the beautiful era of dance music.
