2024.01.05 DJ PAUL (Soulful)

KILLER BOOGIE swashbuckled its way back onto the  myhouseradio.fm  airwaves on Monday 8th January 2024, with  De Gama leading the charge into the New Year with and a very special guest mix. 

De Gama kicks things off in style with a fistful of hot tracks from the likes of LTJ Edits, Strange, Mosaik Kollektif and Mr K. It’s a rip-roaring, belly jiggling, leg wiggling hour that takes no prisoners or asks for permission. 

And joining De Gama for this one is Milan based DJ and producer BPlan (aka Fimiani) - this guy has an unmistakable sound which draws water from the wells of House, soul, funk and disco. He has released numerous productions and remixes for a whole host of labels including Nervous Records, Toy Tonics, Large Music, Cut and Fulltime, as well as being co-owner of vinyl only label ‘Caffè Corretto Edits’. 

Included in his record bag are tracks from Quasimodo, Delfonic, Martha Dark, D’Arabia amongst other gems. Definitely not one to miss.

One of my favorite sets is Mochakk’s Cercle performance in Seville, Spain. He opens with ‘Proton Blue’ by Crackazat, a track that instantly hooked me with its elegant groove and immersive atmosphere. 

I had to spice it up by layering an acapella that blends perfectly with the instrumental, creating a groovier and more immersive journey.

"Italo"/Australian , DJ/Producer & Remixer based in Australia, Dave Mathmos, began hitting the ground running in the music realm in the 80th, and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist with his own signature sound and stylization. Known for his widely authentic blend of genres like Disco, Funk, Soul, Deep House, Italo Disco and Nudisco, Dave’s journey into music began in the producer’s chair where he started tackling an array of productions with House & Deep House tracks, and quickly began solidifying a style that shares equal parts originality and familiarity, giving his audience a taste of something fresh yet still identifiable. 
 
After several years of honing his craft and putting together a solid chemistry in his musical approach, Dave’s name became more familiar throughout his scene and began garnering positive reception throughout his scene. Currently, he has been releasing music with several Australian and European labels, as well as DJing in both continental scenes as well. His most notable work has been his edits and remixes that include nostalgic songwriting arrangements, grooves, and an innovative modern style that has successfully expanded his artistic merit in contributing his important work for both the Australian and European markets.  
 
On top of remixes, he has been crafting together his own material as well, orientated to several modern touches to deep house, balearic and nudisco to the wide spectrum of electronic music.
