"The reason I selected this for the series was, for myself, it being personal time piece, the quality of the tracks and the mix being consistently good. Building through some great soulful house vocals and dubs into some deep cuts that haven't dated since it's release in 2002. Having quite a few of these on vinyl picked up around the time, including Mindflight's "Release", Derrick White's "Soul 2 Let Go" and Kerri Chandler's "Atmospheric Beats" the mix by silky deep house man Miguel Migs was never far from the earlobes at the time. And being released on the ever consistently good Naked Music label, its great from start to finish. A true reflection of the kinds of tracks I played out in sets when I started out DJing. Enjoy!!" Recondite - PSY (Original Mix)

Recorded at the Cross in 2005 for Dusted (at Serious). Almost ten years old now... before the club scene revolution that followed the release of Mylo's 'Destroy Rock and Roll' the same year. From that point on it all went much more electronic, passing though the Electro House moment and ultimately ending up in the minimal house genre. The drugs changed to a darker side, with ketamine growing in popularity, and as the music did also we lost the moments that made it acceptable to go mad dancing to Khia telling us to lick her pussy and her crack. Maybe that's a good thing! :-)
