Collective Improvisation by Ióni Trio

This is a mixed media piece that was composed using ambient sounds from the 2015 Burning Man Festival. This ambient soundscape is spatialized over quadrophic speakers. Then the Ióni Trio performs live to these tracks, spontaneously composing a collective improvisation using these ambient sounds as inspiration. The purpose of this piece is to bring the listener out to the deep playa with the sounds of Burning Man surrounding them. You can find peace and tranquility in the deep, even with radical sounds of Burning Man surrounding you.
