What a delight and honor to join Dan-DT, Clara, and Seagull in making this fragrant aural experience, and my maiden voyage into Dan's lovely genre of French Fantasy more of which can be heard @dan-t-3. This original pop ballad relates two people who have been separated and unable to be together for too long. When they are finally reunited it seems too good to be true. There is a tension, trepidation in how to reengage and to open up the deep affection they have for one another. The ukulele drives this one from the start as it brings some old school crooning with the two voices that celebrate this uplifting love song.

How wonderful it is to work with skilled guitarist and synth artist Seagull and ace guitarist Ed Cunningham on our tribute to the night sky; a favorite pastime of mine in years gone by. I was once an avid amateur astronomer (still have my telescope), until I got caught up in the guitar universe and this wonderful place called Soundcloud. Quietude in the midst of chaos, confusion, uncertainty, and restlessness; Seagull captures an Eden-like vision of tranquility and reflection.  It also came with a surprise he kept securely under his hat; I would be joined in the collaboration with him by two of my favorite SC artists, Ed Cunningham and Dan-t, masters of their genre. I didn't know until he unveiled the finished product.  My approach turned out to be "less is more" so I show up to the party fashionably late at just past the 2:00 mark, but what a lovely party...and vision.  I hope you think so too. Vape - O- Dub - Entheogenic Psychonaut (Josh Clary)

What began as a prosaic comment evolved into an enriching collaboration.  Our friend and Soundcloud poet laurate Peter joins us on a fishing voyage.  Seagull, not content to do a simple voice over, remixes the track and places us on a fishing boat, the sea a bit rough, the gulls impatient for part of the catch, and Peter not just reading but dynamically narrating what he is experiencing on the deck of the ship.  What an honor to work with these artists enlarging on our previous collaboration. 'Imagination Becomes Reality' A Jazz Fusion Track inspired by how the title reads really. If we can imagine something then it can become real. The important question is, What is imagination and what is reality? Are they both "real"?  An age old question, which can only be answered by an inner search.
The piece is shared with the " very real and very imaginative" playing of Wind Master, Georg Boehme, whom I can't thank enough for being involved with me on this musical journey.

The End of the Day

The October 2022 DIAMC writing prompt was about displacement, taking a character either fictional or real and putting them into an alternative reality. I imagined a world where Little Red was all grown up and off to the bright lights and big city, in search of Mr Wolf.

Little Red she’s grown up proper
Little Red, nothing’s going to stop her

Mr Wolf, big man in the city

In for a surprise, Mr Wolf

Although my favorite artist was always Vangelis, I am influenced by many artists I listen to (not just electronic musicians). I don't think anyone can control influences, at least I, objectively speaking, am not capable of doing so.

Sometimes they are not perceived, but in others they become too evident.

In this case the influence is from Enya. An artist that I listened to at the height of her years ago and who seems sensational to me.

19 tracks from xewton forum and native MS2 instruments and 11 tracks from Synthmaster Kv331.

And...in this case.....I trusted my ear and didn't mix it in my car. You tell me how it sounds 😬.

4 Star Commended Entry in the 2022 UK Songwriting Contest

Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes' Night takes place on November 5th each year in Great Britain with bonfires and firework displays. It recalls the Gunpowder Plot of 1605; an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Guy Fawkes was captured before he could light the fuse to 36 barrels of gunpowder. Back in the day, children would make a scarecrow-like effigy of Guy Fawkes to be thrown on the communal bonfire during the 'celebrations'. In the run up to the evening they would ask for "a penny for the guy" to spend on sparklers, sweets or other treats.

We must remember every November, we must remember the fifth of November,

With Mr Guy Fawkes evil intentions, he certainly got all of our attention,

David Lucas and his late father, Bill Lucas, an acclaimed Sydney architect attended my voice workshops held by the "Once Extra Dance Company" back in the "80's". Adventurous , creative souls with no holds barred on what was the beginnings of Danse Danse. It was then called "Dance Out Of Beat" and was a commentary on the club scene that I'd very much been a part of in the "60's" In recent times I invited Annette Scott on board who has brought it brilliantly to fruition along with my longtime collaborator, Jazz pianist/composer, Kirk Kadish. Now we have a new take on the current dance scene with a touch of empowerment as to who has the final moves.

He won his first Grammy in 1991 and at age 70 he was named Artist of the Year by the Americana Music Association.  His songs have been recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Bettte Midler, Bonnie Raitt, George Strait and many others.  His new album , The Tree of Forgiveness is receiving so much acclaim.
