The tribute to Elmer and Bonnie is handled with such care, I felt it in my chest. 🔥 The oven rumbled softly, “This one’s been slow cooked with soul and memory, you can taste the care in every note” 🥶 The ice dispenser whispered, “It’s got a stillness that lingers, like the kind of goodbye that lives with you” 🧀 The grater interrupted gently, “I usually cut through things, but this track already slices clean to the truth” A beautiful, grounded tribute. Beautiful tune David. The algorithm played it and it got my attention right away.

I wrote this song 15 years ago for close friend and guitarist Elmer Stone. Elmer and I have collaborated on three songs on Soundcloud but this one is purely a tribute to him and the friendship we have shared for the past thirty-plus years.  It is also a memorial for his wife Bonnie who he lost two years ago. She was a core contributor to his music, life partner, and his best friend.
I am indebted to Mike Fox and Axel Meningen for taking my rough demo of the song and making it a broadcast quality production.
