Most are fucked up from the drugs they take,
and don't care to interrupt all the love I make,
but I can't quite erupt so, I'll simply fake,

that I have climaxed, because all the noise
that keeps me far from relaxed and trapped in the void, 
I've always had a clean nose but perhaps I'll toy 
with singing in falsetto. 

These streets are full of cackles and high pitched screams
A ghetto manifesto haunting my dreams

Another try at a more electronic vibe for this month’s song. I’ve actually mixed this one with headphones in mind. If you get a chance to listen in this way you might hear more of the more subtle effects I’ve worked into the song. I’m trying something different here from the last few songs so I always welcome  your feedback on how successful I’ve been.

This is from my EP SUPERNOVA. 123 BPM. 3m59s. The main genres are Alternative rock / Indie rock / J-ROCK. The moods are Energetic / Catchy / Groovy. I wrote this rock 'n' roll song alone when I was 18 and recorded it now alone in my room with a guitar, bass, mic and PC. With Oasis reunion, I decided to record this song. This is a congratulations to Oasis and their fans on the reunion. Everything (including cover art and MV) by myself. Loud guitar, beautiful melody and captivating vocals are the selling points. This song began back at the beginning of the summer, when Josh was messing around on his electric piano and found a structure to which to add his bass. As soon as he opened the project to the rest of Eclectic Collective, JJ jumped right in, adding his thrilling organ and ethereal background synth. Thus, Josh dropped his original e. piano part in favor of JJ's new parts. 

Ken was next up, adding the drums in reverse order from how he and Josh usually do it. Ken is very skilled at being able to add drums to a pre-existing bass line, which he displays in here. He also added the clever auxilary percussion you hear throughout. Mark was next to the trough, adding his funky clavinet, as well as his sax solo you hear lighting it up in there. He also added some well composed horns toward the end, not to be confused with JJ's synth. 

  Then it was time for the guitarists to do their thing. Stephen added the strong, melodic solos in the first two breaks with his guitar and wah pedal. After Tez added his thrilling solos at the end, Stephen went back in and added the funky rhythm guitar part. Tez also added the funky guitar riffs throughout the verses.

  All that was left was to get Carl in on the action, as he is the newest core member of Eclectic Collective. He wrote a poem and sung it in his signature, wild style for us.

  This is Eclectic Collective at its almost full strength, pulling six musicians from two different continents and four different countries together to create a song. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

   On a side note, this will be Eclectic Collective's last song for two weeks. As most of you know, we release a song every Thursday at midnight. Due to vacation and travel at the end of summer, we'll be skipping  next Friday, the 15th, but should be returning the following Friday, the 22nd. We may also put something out this coming Tuesday, the 12th, so please stay tuned. Can't thank enough those of you who tune in regularly and support us every week.

I’ve been on three vacations since the drums were completed.. played advanced mixes at vacation pools, each time… I associate this blues/ Stevie Nicks cool song with being footloose and fancy free, yeah! My good friend and church band mate, mandolinist Pat Howell, was messing around with a couple of chord sequences in the key of C. I asked him to play them again, then again. I capoed my guitar to the 3rd fret and played A shapes to what he was doing. His face lit up and said, "I like that"!  It's amazing sometimes how a mere musical suggestion of a melody can blossom. I plan to add his mandolin part when he composes it, but for now I hope you can say with him "I like it".  This all happened just prior to time change so the picture seemed "Springy" and appropriate to the song, and a breath of optimism and hope in the face of the pandemic.
