UKNOWY music is back with a new installment on its more house-leaning Plastic Garment vinyl series. This time the EP title is Midnight Impulse as every track carries the treats of nocturnal life: it’s dark, it’s fresh and it’s open to all possibilities!
Salomo (VARY, R.A.N.D. Muzik) kicks things off with the definite club banger Transform - devotees of the likes of Kyle Hall or Funkineven will definitely get their fancy tickled here. Next is You & Me by Munich's house duo Rhode & Brown (Toy Tonicy, Public Possession) – a nicely flowing track that builds on intricate synths and catchy chords. Italian break-beat maestro Sofa Talk (Cognitiva Records, Paper Recordings) opens the B-side with a rhythmically sophisticated yet deep ALBA, much in the vein of earlier Plastic Garment releases. St. Petersburg's very own Dices (SOBO, 12th Isle) closes things off with his more dreamy and at the same time incredibly complex and beautiful See You There - a track for the listener or the later hours of the club night.

Portable’s magical ‘This Horizon’ sees its release on the producer’s own Khoikhoi Records imprint on 14th February which is taken from his forthcoming Album 'The Transit Of Mercury' which is already getting the nod from Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon, Ben UFO & Motor City Drum Ensemble, the package includes variations by the South African’s Bodycode alias, duo Bergemeann & Legget as well as a version from Johannesburg producer Sound of Xee.

While the original is a whirlwind of poignant vocals, floating melodies entwined in a tight leftfield house groove, Bergemann & Legget’s cleverly strips back, delving in the intensity of the single. It really is a testament to Portable’s ability to build an unsettling sense of beauty.

Sound of Xee makes his mark with a slow-building, progressive, rolling take, slipping into its own frenzy of percussion – a Khoikhoi mainstay at the forefront of South African electronic music in full force right here.

And finally, Portable’s own Bodycode moniker leads ‘This Horizon’ further into club territory with the seriously good ‘Bellycloud’ remix – jutting keys and 4x4 energy ending things in a place of all-out party.

Her eyes were fixated upon the distance, it were as if her whole face had been cast in stone and would not flinch. She was modest yet pointed and purposeful, looking outwards upon the water towards the horizon where the clouds met with the ocean far away. She was not phased by the passing boats or the wild wind which roared all around her for she knew that one day all of this would be gone, replaced by a bittersweet memory of something else. This was her demure. 

Julian Bainbridge is set to release a new EP on Sounds Over Seas, this track taken from the forthcoming EP is a beautiful cosmic voyage through the unknown. Wonderful arpeggios are paired with deep, moody pads in what is a beautiful realisation.

We welcome to the Moustache Records family the oldskool electro legend Martin Matiske with his Electronic disco-ish 12 inch EP release "Robotic Theatre" This is a future vision of a theatre run by robots and is the era in which machines entertain mankind. Operas are written and played in a mechanical way. The pieces of "Robotic Theatre" deal with different terms of stage work. Track A1 is called "Acting Faces" and Refers to the rehearsing of the role, as well as the interaction of the actors on stage. The well-being of the actor does not often match what is played. He has to play even If it's painful. B2 is the track called "Machinery" Human beings are machines that build machines today. The advantage is perfection and time saving. Robots as actors are reliable and precise. B1 listen to the name "Transistor Dances"its Like The Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms you just need a dance to express happiness and remind your culture. Dances bring people together. A robotic dance should not be missing in a play. The last track of the EP is the tune "Practise" a story about a robot the has to practise to achieve perfection and it is fun." Featuring the own DNA could be considered done. Manelane EP is a pure ensemble of vibrations and emotional vibes. House and acid accents born and grow through the arrangements of Bella Man while, Lane, doesn't give any spot for breathing with hard bass groove and persistent hats lines rhythm. Organata Di Dallo in the end gives the feeling that be raw and pure aren't just words but a state of mind.
