Anomaly is an international online journal of the arts.

A composer and producer of ambient and experimental music. Has collaborated with solo artists, bands, theatre directors, dancers, sound designers and producers. Using an array of past and present field and foley recordings, as well a number of electric and acoustic instruments at his home studio, I explore manipulation of loops, destruction and weathering of sampling via software and hardware processing, compositions based on repetition and gradual change, and melody and rhythm creation using non-instruments. DeLorian Royal is an Electro House and Hip-Hop producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Southern California. With extended routes in the Chicago House scene, DeLorian produces a variety of styles ranging from Heavy Electro and Deep House to Down Tempo Hip-Hop and Soul. His influences are broadly spread from 80s New Wave and Funk to modern Hip-Hop and Indie. DeLorian is known for his versatility as a producer and it allows him to collaborate with artists ranging  from Rap and Indie to House and Heavy Metal. He’s currently working on his first solo album and in support of that has released a string of EPs.

Soundscape For a Day


This project is about achieving a year.

Soundscape term is based on R. Murray Schafer’s ideas in 70s. Soundscape is an environmental act and it is a concept of acoustic ecology studies. In early days, soundscape term used for natural environment sounds such as; forests, oceans and waterfalls. However, nowadays it is used for also artificial sounds like cars, machines and so on… In this project, soundscape term is used for a 10-second immersive environment sound piece.  These raw sound pieces will be recorded in my everyday practices and there will be not used digital audio processing and not edited.  A soundscape can be a sound of a bus engine, a bird or a conversation in a related day.  

The project started on January 01, 2014 and every day a 10-second Soundscape will be recorded. The soundscapes will be uploaded weekly to SoundCloud profile page.  And the project will be ended on January 01, 2015.  In addition, my one year life will be archiving with sonic elements.
