Boston-born, Phoenix-raised dance / pop producer/artist with a penchant for colorfully explosive hooks, and soulful, dreamy 80s motifs. Jackman, aka “David Ben Jack” was fusing new wave and electro-pop with rap in his PRMR (pka The Premiere) duo, garnering local praise and attention before the likes of Wallpaper and Shwayze popularized the style. 

Having joined national electro-pop group Peachcake in 2009, Jackman co-wrote and produced several releases that helped propel the band into a wider arena, landing their music into a number of tv shows, and ad campaigns, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians and The Real World. Their lead single he co-wrote and sang vocals on, “You Matter” landed on rotation at Top 40 commercial and college radio, charting on Mediabase’s Taking Off category. Before they disbanded, Jackman performed with Peachcake for a number of shows, opening for and sharing stages with artists such as Peter Murphy, Neon Trees, and She Wants Revenge, as well as The Streets and Apoptygma Berzerk at the Slottsfjell Music Festival in Norway.

Jackman released the eclectic LP Antennae with PRMR in 2012, which also garnered college radio rotation and was featured on the international travel tv series, “Into The Drink”. The duo was then commissioned to create several new songs for a Firstcom TV music library, which were approved and signed with Universal Music Publishing. One of the PRMR tracks “Sundown” was featured on various TV spots including the Superbowl special of ESPN’s sports talkshow “First Take”.

At the end of 2015, Jackman launched his flagship solo project under the alias “David Ben Jack”, releasing his debut single “No Love (ft. Teri Tobin)” via The EDM Network. The single–a soulful and poppy, yet eccentric take on chilled deep house and nu-disco–featured rising neo-soul singer Teri Tobin on vocals, and a remix from UK production duo Armstrong & Statye (of UB40 production fame). A week later, the track charted on JunoDownload.com as the #12 best-selling release in the funky house/club category, before getting airplay on BBC radio, and garnering support from DJ's including influential Hed Kandi A&R/DJ Ben Santiago out of Ibiza.   

Soon after, Ben Jack was approached to produce several official remixes for legendary jazz musician Mac Gollehon’s (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Grace Jones) newest project, which was released on his LP via Tomas Doncker’s NYC-based True Groove label. The album charted at #19 on the CMJ Top 40 Jazz Charts, and has been featured on Huffington Post, All About Jazz, and Paste Magazine, for being heralded as a unique fusion of latin jazz and EDM. David Ben Jack was then commissioned to produce more remixes for the label, as well as several remixes for fusion supergroup Gideon King and The City Blog, comprised of Island Records recording artist Marc Broussard, James Genus (Daft Punk, Herbie Hancock), Donny McCaslin (David Bowie), and other seasoned musicians. 

David Ben Jack is currently working on his follow-up single "Sunset Kills", a debut EP, and various projects and collaborations.
