Wanted to write and record something for just guitar, bass and drums. I recorded the guitar track as a single take. You can hear my ham-fisted pickup changes throughout..I can only hope it helps make it sound like a live performance. I also recorded Telepath using my live rig. I hope you enjoy it!

Telepath

This is an edited instrumental version of "What About My Reward".  Influences include Joe Bonamassa (Black Country Communion), Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs/Deep Purple/Kansas), and Yes to name a few.  I like to call this New-Classic Rock.  The original version is over a minute longer and has male vocals, a song about a pseudo-Good Samaritan who performs good works, but for fortune and fame.

"Suffer the Bitches" is an ASS-Whoopin Van Halen inspired piece that's really a throw-back to early Van Halen along the lines of On Fire from VH 1 and Unchained from Fair Warning.

Usually when I write a song be it an instrumental or something for a vocalist, there’s some concept I have in mind which is helping me to craft the mood of the piece.  We deal with this topic quite a lot in the “Songwriting 101” lesson series at JFRocks.com.  As I’ve said before these “concepts” or “ideas” usually come from simple things that happen around us all day long.  The phrase, “Suffer the Bitches” was definitely ringing in my head as this song came together…  The riffing itself is a little “Bitchy”..  It’s choppy, and the drums are a bit on the angry side…
