Pain

Megabyte was the finest Hard House event in Essex during the late 90s and early 2000s. It brought everyone together once a month for an absolute stomp fest of a rave. Pete Blackett, everyone’s favourite Megabyte DJ (probably! 😊), has come out of retirement and dusted off his vinyl and decks to give us BB4Ls a special Megabyte themed guest mix, we thought it only fair to join him in this new mini-series….

This mix is a set that Pete would have played at the events back in the day. He has used his personal vinyl collection to create this, including some hidden gems that would certainly have got the dancefloor bouncing!!

We have agreed to withhold the track list for the initial period, to recreate that feeling from back in the day of not knowing what you’re going to hear in each DJs set, with the excitement you’d get hearing a little sample or stab from the new tune as it came in….

Megabyte & the Mysterious Monkeys: Pete Blackett [90s 00s Hard House]

Megabyte was the finest Hard House event in Essex during the late 90s and early 2000s. It brought everyone together once a month for an absolute stomp fest of a rave. As Pete Blackett, everyone’s favourite Megabyte DJ (probably! 😊), has come out of retirement and dusted off his vinyl and decks to give us BB4Ls a special Megabyte themed guest mix, we thought it only fair to join him in this new mini-series….

This mix includes tunes that would have been played at the events back in the day. Big Ry has used his personal vinyl collection to create this, picking tunes that are only available on vinyl, including some of the rare gems from that time. It follows the flow of a Megabyte night, from chunky warm up, to fun & bouncy, then some thumping stompers, ending on the banging anthems that would close the show!!
