David From Venus
A project that was curated to answer a need to go in a different musical and emotive direction. David From Venus is David Garcet’s second undertaking as a solo DJ and producer, birthed from his inner desire to create music that goes beyond the classic club scene and reaches deeper into alternative layers of music. 

Based on a more expressive and emotive style, David From Venus beholds a strong voice with every track interpreting a different story and message. Usually focusing on slower tempos and rhythms to allow all elements of each track to breathe and communicate what they have to say. A unique style that bears a lot of meaning, portrayed by a rich and technicolour sound that takes music listeners adrift on an atmospheric journey that would lift you as far as Venus. 

One of the most fascinating aspects of David From Venus is that he has created an ideal formula that masterfully blends and puts into focus all the diverse influences encountered in his lifetime. From Electronica, to Wave, Ambient, Disco Drove, or even Alternative Pop, including Trip Pop and even Dream Pop. Music fans should always expect the unexpected, if there is one thing David From Venus knows how to do is to create a distinct magic and instil surprise. He knows how to move a crowd both physically and emotionally. His dancefloors reveal an emotional intensity that is unmatchable. Using powerful and sublime voices on his tracks, including those of New Yorker Christine Hoberg or Berliner Klangschwester, he builds an inspiring and striking link with his audience. Together they become one to share a passionate voyage across music.

His music first saw the light of day on the infamous Berliner label Emerald & Doreen, on which he released a sensational series of remixes. They included a few hidden gems such as a remix of ‘KIEV’ by Unmagma, or the timeless remix of ‘Bonestranded’ by Christine Hoberg. These records opened the door slightly on the different flavour of music that David From Venus was crafting, acting as a teaser for the riveting and unusual world that lay behind it. Deliciously fashioned, they left the label and music enthusiasts wanting more, catapulting him into the start of a new musical. A few years down the line, David From Venus announces that he is signing his return on Emerald & Green in March 2020. This time to release his own track rather than remixes, in collaboration with Cyané, a gifted artist hailing from Mexico and whose talent has already appeared on several tracks by renowned artist Cubenx on Infinity Records. In June 2020, a second release is scheduled on Jane Music Agency, this time including the illustrious Baridi Baridi, the Argentinian with the stifling and spellbinding voice. David From Venus seems to have landed in Latin America for the time being but it will not be long until he is on the move again and transporting fans to another enthralling destination…

Biography : 
Born in Brussels, Mjane developed a curiosity for music at a young age. In her teenage years, she discovered the clubbing and nightlife scene which led her to delving into music trends and understanding how music makes people feel and all the moods associated to it. This quickly broadened her horizons and unearthed a deeper passion for music. Soon enough, electronic music was capturing all of her attention and energy when it exploded on the Belgian scene in the 90’s.

Through drive and passion, she slowly imposed her style and vision of music on the scene, leaving her mark through various gigs and appearances at some of the best nightlife spots in Brussels. Her musical style is completely irresistible and can be simply described as hot-and-sexy deep house. A vision and feel for music that completely captivates and entrances a crowd. Unsurprisingly, this perseverance landed her the position of art director in a notable and renowned club in the city, a position which she remained in for over five years. 

In 2013, Mjane relocated to Bangkok, Thailand. Upon her arrival, Mjane was offered a residency at Bed Supper Club and was a regular at other infamous nightclubs. At the time, the underground music scene was barely existent, house and techno were practically new to nightlife revellers. As she became more knowledgeable of the electronic music scene in Bangkok, her focus began to shift, taking notice of the potential of this emerging underground scene and how she could play a more pivotal part in contributing to it. A few years after her arrival in the capital, Mjane launched Jane Music Agency, an agency and label which puts both Thai and international electronic music artists in the spotlight. Acting as a bridge between the Thai market and Western music industries, the agency supports all facets and fascinations of the electronic music spectrum. Giving DJs and producers a platform to exchange and discover music, as well as create opportunities to further their careers across continents.

Besides managing her label and agency full time, Mjane is still committed to her artistry and music productions. Over the last five years, she has had several releases on respectable labels including Dantze, Groove On, Manual Music, KDB, Tulipa recordings, and E&D, to name a few. Her records have been backed and remixed by a number of distinguished artists, such as Basti Grub, Garance, Sid Le Rock, Simao, Marc Poppcke, Dj Qness, Sifa, K.E.E.N.E., and David Garcet. If her sensational list of achievements thus far is anything to go by, there is more to be expected from this prodigious artist…

Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave,Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. A huge shout out to my mentor and great friend Paul who inspired and enlightened me since late 80's the magic and importance of electronic music; thank you Paul. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in A multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media. 

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore. 
GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.
