soulrider is a track I made when I was depressed and didn’t know what to do to help. My wife and I started the song by sampling the rain outside, then I added guitar and vocals, then she added drums and piano. It’s the first song I’ve released out of many that we have made together so it is very special to me. I hope you enjoy!

David J. Kemper is a composer & producer from Chicago, Illinois, city of big shoulders, (former) hog butcher to the world, and home of Nelson Algren, Carl Sandburg, John Dillinger and Al Capone.  It has been speculated (by Mr. Kemper) that the gritty, rough and tumble energy of the streets from whence he hails has given extra bite and backbone to the sounds that he comes up with.  It is a theory, anyway.  Don’t think.  Just listen.
