“A Dos Of Tech”, because everyone needs a dose of Tech House every now and then, but “Dos” because there were 2 of that did the party; Mauty Funk was my partner. This mix is entirely Tech House, except for maybe the last track. It is a live mix from my set during BPM 2017 at La Choperia, a bar located on the main street in Playa Del Carmen. The mix sounds a bit distorted, but it was the best sounding mix of the 2 I recorded, my apologies for the distortion. It was really fun to play at this bar since it is located on the main street and completely open.
This was my second BPM trip and it was crazy in many ways. Crazy, in that it was awesome, seeing a lot of my favorite DJs/producers, Ramiro Lopez, Green Velvet, Nicole Moudaber, and Carl Cox, who had the only sold out show at Blue Parrot, and had an amazing set as always. Also, awesome because I got to do my own party at Coco Maya again this year and was able to bring my friends to play too. Thank God that I had my party that night, or we would have been at Blue Parrot for sure during the tragedy. The crazy tragedy that ended in 5 dead and 15 others wounded. Coco Maya is right next door to Blue Parrot and we were caught up in the chaos from the shooting. Those shooters do not represent Mexico, the people of Mexico, nor the culture/heritage of Mexico. Please do not let it taint the beauty of Mexico and the people. It’s also crazy that BPM has now ended in Playa Del Carmen because of the tragedy, after 10 great years. I’ve only been twice. May God bless those innocent victims and families affected, and everyone that is part of the House/Techno culture.

Though a relatively new DJ (since 2011), David Paul has had his heart deeply rooted in House & Techno music for much longer than that. David Paul always had a great ear for and flavor in House/Techno, and also always had the desire to share the music with others. Ever since his first time on the decks, he has been able to get the crowd's feet moving and hands in the air with his refreshing track selections. 

In a short period of time, David Paul has learned how to catch the attention and of the crowd every time he's on the decks. Having played at Coachella's Heineken Dome, after-hours at BPM in Playa del Carmen, Ruby Skye, Audio Discotech, Halcyon, The Great Northern, Monarch, Vessel, The Grand, Temple, Supperclub, Slide, The Cellar, Harlot, Monroe, The EndUp, A.W.O.L. in Cabo & Cancun, and having shared the decks with DJs including Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Sander Kleinenberg, Oliver Huntemann, Art Department, Kaiserdisco, Umek, Klangkuenstler, Bart Skils, Christian Smith, Pig & Dan, Drunken Kong, Julia Govor, Ramiro Lopez, Prok & Fitch, Boris (NYC), The Junkies, Loco & Jam, DETLEF, Amtrac, Audiojack, Charles D, Sergio Fernandez, Cocodrills, My Digital Enemy, Dave Aude, EC Twins, LA Riots, Donald Glaude, Charles Feelgood, Chris Garcia, JJ Flores, David Garcia, Sex Panther, and many of the SF top House DJs, David Paul is well established to play for any crowd that truly loves Underground Music.

David Paul has also co-created Funky Teknomics Radio with partner Cris Zuniga. Funky Teknomics started as an internet radio show, created and hosted by Cristoffer Zuniga & David Paul, streaming live from Temple's radio studio/booth in early 2013. Quickly, Cristoffer and David Paul turned it into a series of monthly parties that moved to a different venue every month, titled Funky Teknomics' SF Tour. As a duo and collaboration, they have been able to take their music, gigs, positive vibes & love of underground music to places further than they first imagined. Currently, David Paul carries on the brand and music, along  with DJs Joey Moretti, Zara Mez, & d.Santis. 2 promoters/hosts are part of the Funky Teknomics team, Ginseng aka “Gino” Guzman, & Shaylene Fitzgerald. The Funky Teknomics sound spans from, and through Deep House, Tech House, Funky House, and Techno.
