His connection to the sound started early, growing up around the music through his dad from classic hard house records to the energy of UK dance floors. That early exposure shaped a deep appreciation for pace, groove, and music that’s meant to be mixed properly and played loud.

DJing comes first. STFRD is known for driving, mix-led sets built around flow, pressure, and release, blending old-school hard house attitude with euphoric trance moments and modern hard dance energy.

Terry’s years of experience enables him to play a wide range of music while maintaining his unique essence and motif he’s known for characterized by his deep, patient and hypnotic mixing combined with impeccable taste in music. His sound gently weaves between deep house, techno and progressive house. Terry’s versatility is why he’s been featured with some of the world’s most influential DJs of our generation such as Doc Martin, Deep Dish, Gene Farris and Harry Romero to name a few.

In the Studio, Terry’s music productions ranging from deep house to techno, consistently climb the charts for the genres he makes music in. He has accumulated numerous top 10 releases including three # 1 tracks in his production career. Terry has releases on some of the world’s most renown underground dance music labels from Flashmob Records, Viva Recordings, Music is 4 Lovers, Stripped Digital Recordings to Open Bar Music displaying his cross-genre versatility as a producer.

Terry can regularly be seen at his weekly residency Dance Klassique, one of the world’s longest running weekly events for house music and at the West Coast’s most popular venues and festivals.

Having his early clubbing experiences start at the legendary confines of New York’s Twilo during the 1990s, a key experience which laid the template for him artistically. 
Having garnered a serious reputation as one of California’s key players of things dark and underground David brings decades of experience to every contribution he has made in the scene.
As co-owner of the Superfreq brand with the legendary Mr.C, they have brought their ethos for the underground with doing label showcases, events and of course releasing many chart topping stand out tracks. Since its inception, the label has continually released cutting edge modern dance music designed for the dancefloor and David is key as the A+R, discovering new talent.
Superfreq has a very specific and unique sound which encompasses deep house, house, acid house, tech house techno and electro,With the ethos to encompass cutting edge and tripped out out soundscapes is what keeps Superfreq at the forefront of cutting edge dance music. 
The label has a distinct sound that reflects the sound of the events, playful, mischievous and haunting.
David is a fixture on many of the lineups and label showcases at various events on a global scale. David’s skills, passion, and dedication have taken him across the globe- 
including Berlin’s world famous Sisyphos , Zoo Project Ibiza as well as regular appearances at Desert Hearts, Fabric London, Lightning in a Bottle, Burning Man, Resolute New York, the BPM Festival in Mexico.
He has shared the stage with the likes of Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, M.A.N.D.Y, Lee Burridge, Claude Vonstroke, Doc Martin, Marc Houle, Magda,Jay Tripwire, Kate Simko, Chloé, DJ T, and Steve Bug.
David coordinates Superfreq events in Los Angeles with events at Avalon, Sound, Le Jardin, Los Globos, Dim Mak & a host of underground warehouse & villa parties. 
The Superfreq brand has a regular foothold in London with events at Fabric, The Steelyard, Bloc, Red Gallery & various underground pop-up warehouse spaces in the English capitol. 
David takes a less is more approach to his production, releasing quality over quantity.
His main focus and vision lies with Superfreq.This hasn’t stopped David from releasing music for  Desert Hearts Black, Resolute, Riff Raff, Desert Hearts, Veryverywrongindeed, Design Forms, We Are Here Music, AA Trax, LW Recordings, Carrillo Music, NOSI Music, Family Grooves, Motek & Compatible Music. 
He has collaborated with such artists as -Dance Spirit, Mikael Stavostrand and Lee Reynolds.
