A Quiet Place

Moonrise

This piece is "just okay".  The challenge I gave to myself was to produce the piece entirely on iPhone in Cubasis 3.  I asked a couple of friends, and come to find out that Flowtones is an excellent "modulation monster" synth, and Cascade is possibly the best reverb app available on iPhone and iPad.

The idea behind the piece was to be as minimalist as possible.  That said, I think I prefer producing on the iPad Mini 7 more than the iPhone.  Ymmv.

A Little Healing

In this album, Adrian continues his exploration of tape-saturated sounds combined with piano and vintage synthesizers. The micro-cassette Dictaphone is used to create sounds evoking nostalgia and melancholy. Although using similar starting points to his last album on Chitra Records this album is darker in mood reflecting certain situations in the world today.

Throughout history, alchemists have captivated our minds with their quests to turn base materials into gold and seek the philosopher's stone. Their work was shrouded in metaphor and mystery, embodying a desire to understand the universe's hidden truths. Similarly, this collection of sounds endeavors to evoke the essence of that magical process. Each composition is a carefully crafted distillation of emotions, imagery, and ideas, resonating with the transformative powers attributed to the alchemical arts.

In Alchemies, Paul Beaudoin blends orchestral textures with glitch and noise elements, creating a sonic alchemy that mirrors the ancient quest for transformation.
