Pioneering the « nu-disco » sound, years long before that kind of sound started to invade the worldwide indie charts, Laurent ASH aka LIFELIKE’s early productions (« Black Chess » EP on the legendary “20000ST” record label) soon pricked the ears of the likes of DJ Falcon and Thomas Bangalter (from Daft Punk), and playlisted his record during their "Together 2002 tour", which if you’re a young Producer, is basically the equivalent of getting all six numbers in the lottery, finally introducing him very quickly into the very small but highly talented "French Touch" family. 
A french family of parisian artists that includes Daft Punk, Justice, Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Air, Cassius, etc..
Almost every records he released since then gained instant support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac as well as the DJ bibles such as DJ Mag and Future Music Magazine, calling his productions “a sure-fire hit on dance floors” ,“walking that smooth and sexy line between nu-disco,new wave and funk” and "a master of crafting credible dance floor beast."
 Those records includes "Discopolis", released on Alan Braxe's seminal label "Vulture", a massive inernational club hit, selling a total of more than 100000copies, topping the UK Top 40 chart at #18, Belgium Dance Chart #1, Germany/France Dance Chart #5, followed by "So Electric" released on Wall Of Sound, "Sequencer" (vulture), "Love Emulator" released on his own label "ComputerScience", or "Dont Stop featuring A-Trak" that was recently released on Kitsuné.
As a remixer, records companies quickly noticed LIFELIKE’s ability to turn any track into a dance floor hit  and it wanst long until other artists like Chromeo, Sia, Empire Of The Sun, Vitalic, Moby, Classixx, The Presets, Cerrone (more than 40 remixes released) to name a few of them, came to knock on his door trying to secure a remix from him.
On the production side, Laurent has been helping some new acts to succeed, adding his magical touch to the UK indie band "Is Tropical" first album and the french electro-pop band "Jupiter".
As a touring entity, LIFELIKE has touched down all over the globe. From Europe and Australia and Asia to America, and club to festival he’s been DJing alongside everyone from Fred Falke, DJ Falcon, Bloody beetroots, Vitalic, Russ Chimes, Oliver, GrandMaster Flash, Madeon, Alan Braxe, Ritchie Hawtin, Steve Angello, DJ Medhi, and many others. .
When LIFELIKE isn’t on tour, you’re likely to find him tucked away in his studio, running his own record label "ComputerScience", and most recently finalizing his debut full-length album "Electronic Dreams" signed to Capitol Music/Universal, featuring the likes of Chromeo, A-Trak, Oliver, Electric Youth & Audio District.

Favored Nations may have one of the more delightfully diverse resumes in music today. Warm vocal melodies, bouncy baselines, understated disco-tinged guitar lines, perhaps a handclap or two, and and some therapeutic synth work.

While in Los Angeles to music supervise the film Crush, James Curd recently met singer Morgan Phalen. You may recognize Morgan's vocals from the psychy second LP by Justice, "Audio Video Disco" or heard his band Diamond Nights. Morgan and James traded ideas back and forth from LA to Australia, where James then looped in Surahn. Surhan is a multi talented instrumentalist and he added his unique bass and guitar to the sound. Together, the chemistry of the core three members was strong, and they naturally evolved into a serious band after a few very promising demos were cut in early 2012. 

At this point, the three settled on a name, calling themselves Favored Nations, a reference to the international interconnectedness of their lives, and enlisted the help of four very accomplished producers to tease the most interesting sounds out of them: Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms for Peace).

Production has continued, and the result is a sound that is marinated in AOR, nu disco, and sun-soaked earnestness. Favored Nations sounds like this: warm vocal melodies, bouncy baselines, understated disco-tinged guitar lines, perhaps a handclap or two, and and some therapeutic synth work. Their music works wherever vocally-led pop confections are welcome: the pool, the radio, the convertible. 

Their four upcoming EPs will be released this summer (or winter depending on which hemisphere you are on).

Lofelive is the best proof that Spain knows how to develop a trend.

An unpredictable sound, intelligent and continuously evolving, arising from and respecting the rules of the electronic nuances of house dance and indie. Created with the aim of a unique objective: bringing to the audience of dance the most exquisite beats. 

Behind Lofelive is the musician, producer and DJ, Paco Gango, a member of The Leadings, who with his latest offering, grabs hold of the best of house, deep house and future house, mixing it with pop and turning it into a sensual experience that it totally danceable. Tracks full of spacial depth, with the very own voice of Lofelive and never ending resounding tones.

Live, Lofelive evolves with the affiliation of Sergio Moreno (The Leadings) on electronic percussion and Fede Gas on the bass guitar. The project comes complete with projections and visuals which will flood the audience giving them the feeling of being fully incorporated into the show.

Lofelive has already been able turn out formidable performances live in many national festivals, receiving positive reviews and having suprised those who have wanted to get closer to the desires necessary to dance. A build up of sensations brought to the audience wherever the music of Lofelive is heard. 

Have done remixes for Monarchy, Kakkmaddafakka and Two Door Cinema Club, Lofelive comes forth with his own personal and current version.

Papertwin started playing music together in 2009, formed by Max Decker after narrowly escaping a lucrative career as a landscape painter. After two homespun EPs and a long hiatus, the band is set to release their first full length album ‘Family Portraits’ via Druyan Records.
Recorded in Decker’s home studio in Massachusetts with longtime friend Francis Cardinale and receiving guidance from Nick Shopa, the LP was mixed by Jorge Elbrecht (Tamaryn, Sky Ferriera, Japanese Breakfast) and mastered by Heba Kadry (Bjork, Slowdive, Ryuchi Sakamoto).
The friends convened after taking a beat to re-configure and re-evaluate their personal lives after some major changes. Lead singer Max Decker had recently had a kid and moved from New York back to Massachusetts where he had grown up, and instrumentalist and producer Francis Cardinale had just lost his father to a prolonged battle with cancer and decided to re-locate to Los Angeles. The band decided to leave behind the musical orbit they were inhabiting due to these evolving external life circumstances. This genesis & paradox is the foreground of Family Portraits -- kind of like a vortex/hole, an accumulation of noise & fragments from where things end & also where things begin. That’s not to say that the band went into this album with the intention of “documenting trauma” or sorting through it via the music, even. The theme of family acts as a foundation, but also as something to be explored. The record is both familiar & unsettling. Shocking but calm. There’s a languidness to the vocal production & melodic sensibility (if you can trace it underneath soundscapes that are unequivocal, fractured, dry & recall some of Talk Talk’s greatest tape collages to date). It’s impressionistic. Something you can’t quite inhabit, but can’t quite easily walk away from either. It’s elusive, self-contained and full of life — full of lives lost and the prospect of newer ones, whether they be sounds, experiences or chapters beginning.
