Daytime Dan is a Chicago based producer who blends heavy bass, retro samples, and analog synth textures to create a sound that blends together retro and futuristic melodies. Originally from Indianapolis and now based in Chicago, Daniel Shaver has been producing music since 2023.

Drawing inspiration from modern artists such as Pretty Lights, GRiZ, and Zeds Dead, and sampling contemporary artists such as Led Zeppelin, John Denver, and The Allman Brothers, his sound incorporates soulful, retro grooves with vibey, hard hitting bass lines.

Dan has performed at Harvest Fest (IN), Mayfest (MI), Burning Man (NV), and several venues across Chicago. He is working on his first EP that he plans to release towards the end of 2025.

I am HeartBeatConnected and i make music just for fun.

__How did i start?__
I started making music when i was 10 years old.
My neighbor made music and i could watch him for hours, forming music from nothing.
He allowed me to make music on his computer.
After that i was hooked.

__Why the name?__
I had a girlfriend that i felt alot for. 
Even though she hurt me, i was deeply in love with her.
I felt our hearts were connected and could not be broken.

__Is this the only music?__
No! No! No!
I have made alot of song, but only the songs that i feel fits HeartBeatConnected, ends up here.
