Also a fond shout-out too, to Barry Cartlidge for his input into the mix.  He and Kenny Stevens also ran the legendary 'Bumble Studio' in Penkhull where we recorded some of our early songs.

'HITMAN' (Feat. KID K.O.)

Hi!  Welcome to DBm (UK), new home of British songwriters Andy Dawson and Tim Breward.

Both are founder members of Stoke on Trent's rockabilly chart-toppers The Rhythm Hawks, with Ken Newbon and Billy Gibbons (Eddie 'Sax' Lane joining us later).  We scored a No.1 single on Sounds magazine national rock 'n' roll chart with our song 'Zodiac' - released on the Hot Rock label and produced by Sutherland Brothers, Gavin and Iain.

The Rhythm Hawks toured extensively across the UK and parts of Europe and were twice hand-picked as the backing group for UK tours by American 'Rockabilly Hall Of Fame' legends, Ray Campi and Mac Curtis.

Now, DBm (UK) has been launched to share and promote new and newly discovered recordings of previously unheard Dawson/Breward songs, together with some re-workings of earlier tracks.  Some to feature The Rhythm Hawks and others to showcase new, exciting talent like 'KID K.O.',   '24-SEVEN' and the country sounds of 'LAST MAN STANDING', to be introduced here in the coming weeks and months.

N.b.
'The Rhythm Hawks' album (Nervous Records, 2009) features 20 original songs recorded from 1979 onwards.  A special mention to musicians Kev Massey, double bass, T J Butters, piano, and Craig Gilligan, sax, who all played on some of the later tracks.

Also, a much belated 'thank you' to our 80's roadcrew, especially Carlton, Neil and (sometimes!) Roger.  Much appreciated, guys.
