Krotone returns, rebooting his own imprint with a two-track release exploring the darker side of UKG & Techno.

Krotone has a proven track record of delivering heavy hitting, dark and dubbed-out garage/techno crossovers that always hit deep. With this, his first release of 2025, Krotone unveils Pull & Always Evolve… a pair of finely-tuned atmospheric steppers that see him continue to shape his own sonic terrain. Both tracks inhabiting the liminal space between the dancefloor and the introspective, recalling a lineage that stretches back to the golden age of the UK underground.

This release sees Krotone at his most compelling…. a call to both remember and push forward.

Riigs - Healing [TAIPAN TRAX]

Born in Bristol, @solla-sound grew up immersed in diverse musical influences. Driven by a passion for sound exploration, he ventured into the world of synthesis and modular synthesizers, and has now progressed to programming VST plugins for his professional endeavours. With a vinyl release under his original alias SØL on the Karbanik Sound label, as well as several collaborative records with Harrta as Sabasonik, his work has appeared on labels such as Earth & Stone, Outhouse Sounds, and 786 Recordings. After moving to Montreal (Canada) and finding inspiration in the city's dynamic underground music scene, he continues to evolve his sound now under the ‘solla’ alias as well as with the new modular-orientated outfit Infrasignal, all whilst retaining the distinctive influences from his Bristol roots.

After his debut EP on Dead Trax last year, which gained support from the likes of Breaka, DJ ADHD or dameeeela, we’re gassed to have him back on the label with his distinctive bass sounds. “destructive” is out now on streaming platforms, and available for download when you pre-order “The Grooveyard: Volume 2”, coming April 23rd on cassette tape and digital formats.

In 2020, Phasmid released his debut single ‘Shunned’ on Gimme A Break’s We Are Viable compilation, raising funds to support Leeds-based MAP Charity. Five years on, the eclectic DJ and producer has announced that his debut physical EP will be released via GAB on March 7th 2025.

On the A-side, the title track kickstarts the EP with a clinical electro breakbeat workout. While rooted in the production style of contemporaries such as Aloka and Client 03, Phasmid pays homage to the UK dance lineage, sampling Baraka’s 1995 Jungle single ‘I’ll Be There’.
