Slovenian label Cogo are about to drop their highly anticipated sophomore release. Welcomed to the roster on the new vinyl package titled VA.01 are Ukranian Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, and label co-owner Tonske returning.

Inigo Kennedy is one of the UK’s most revered techno artists having crafted an outstanding sound as far back as 1996. His seminal releases on the likes of Tim Taylor’s Missile and Kr!z’s Token alongside a multitude on his own Asymmetric imprint, cement his new music as essential listening.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the Inigo Kennedy track titled “Lucid” that focuses on a sci-fi atmosphere. Bleeping, modular tones and additional layers create a hypnotic groove that captivates with perfect blend of tension and analogue knob-twiddling.

In just a few of years of operation Mitsubasa has been releasing vinyl and digital EPs featuring artists like Rove Ranger and Specific Objects, already proving it’s a label with an educated ear. Standing for “three-wings” meaning soul, heart and mind the newest release MTB005 is yet another exciting entry to their catalogue featuring more great talent like Benales, Zadig, Tsuyoshi Ogawa and Gerald VDH.

Zadig is a Paris-based artist who is known for his influential vinyl only sets and having made appearances on Tresor, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted, Arnaud Le Texier’s Children of Tomorrow and his own imprint Construct Re-Form.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Atlantic12” with a raw and punchy groove. The rolling, detuned modular tones expand and contract to create a constant building tension while highlights arrive by clutters of claps and bubbling textures to create a heady jam.

Striking hot with an unruly release on DFTD next week, Mark Fanciulli offers up a sure-shot in the form of his latest single. Bred for the sternest of club floors, “Control” sees the Londoner craft a ferocious slice of house that will repeatedly drive revelers of the rave to their groove-located destination. Fanciulli cranks out a relentless rhythm over Joe Le Groove’s arresting vocals, stitching the buff basslines and moody chords with on-point percs (adding in some of that clutch woodblock action). It’s beastly. Included with this out-of-control single is the a cappella, serving as an open invitation for others to give their take on this wicked sonic wizardry. Have at it, people.

This is Alignment ´s first release on Etruria Beat , an Italian dj and producer based in Berlin. This EP, composed of two original tracks and two remix, starts with the main track Gravity, characterized by a 90's dry kick mixed with a heavy sub, here the synth riff is always present and go along with some background coming and going pads . Black Hole is based on a frisky and overwhelming bass riff that opens and closes for almost the entire song accompained by a pad that create dark atmospheres which will trap you down in a black hole. Avgusto remix sounds really industrial, characterized by massive reverbs and low background synths. Finally we have the remix of Reform, where the main synth doesn't change and the well structured track id defined by break/drop that will leave you on suspense.

Hamburg duo Adana Twins have locked in their next release with the celebrated Berlin-based Watergate Records, handing over three originals and two remix offerings for their upcoming EP, 'Flower Of Cane'.

Their title track lands on Mixmag today, exploding out of the gate with a dark, sinister-tinged sound that melds in a devilish harmony with the Adana Twins' now signature rumbling and grinding techno take. Hooking listeners in with one, consistently rising note, 'Flower Of Cane' crashes upwards into a charged crescendo at its very peak.

The EP is out on Watergate Records on June 19.

The Latest offering on Glasgow based label Sleaze sees a debut contribution from Andre Crom.

Making a huge shift and moving to Berlin with frequent visits to Barcelona, has brought about his current sound and influenced his latest productions. The OFF Recordings label head has also started a new project called VOIGHT that is picking up steam and one to keep a close eye on, as he gives us a taste of what’s to come.

Four distinctly different original tracks make up the Rhea EP. A combination of raw drive, edgy sounds and with a touch of euphoria for good measure show Andre’s devout knowledge of the dancefloor and how to create said weapons.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere is “Tethys” that uses a punchy tom roll to get straight down to action. Shortly in, the modular, bleeping hook shines through and takes hold over waves of intensity. An anti-climactic crescendo spins the track on its head, using the break to reset and strip the layers back, it allows for another bout of power.
