Slovenian label Cogo are about to drop their highly anticipated sophomore release. Welcomed to the roster on the new vinyl package titled VA.01 are Ukranian Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, and label co-owner Tonske returning.

Inigo Kennedy is one of the UK’s most revered techno artists having crafted an outstanding sound as far back as 1996. His seminal releases on the likes of Tim Taylor’s Missile and Kr!z’s Token alongside a multitude on his own Asymmetric imprint, cement his new music as essential listening.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the Inigo Kennedy track titled “Lucid” that focuses on a sci-fi atmosphere. Bleeping, modular tones and additional layers create a hypnotic groove that captivates with perfect blend of tension and analogue knob-twiddling.

In just a few of years of operation Mitsubasa has been releasing vinyl and digital EPs featuring artists like Rove Ranger and Specific Objects, already proving it’s a label with an educated ear. Standing for “three-wings” meaning soul, heart and mind the newest release MTB005 is yet another exciting entry to their catalogue featuring more great talent like Benales, Zadig, Tsuyoshi Ogawa and Gerald VDH.

Zadig is a Paris-based artist who is known for his influential vinyl only sets and having made appearances on Tresor, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted, Arnaud Le Texier’s Children of Tomorrow and his own imprint Construct Re-Form.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Atlantic12” with a raw and punchy groove. The rolling, detuned modular tones expand and contract to create a constant building tension while highlights arrive by clutters of claps and bubbling textures to create a heady jam.

Concrete Records is an Italian label based in Rome and has seen contributions from Voices From the Lake, Minilogue, Svreca, Tensal, Echologist aka Brendon Moeller and Cassegrain, and many more, with many releases gaining multiple represses.

Dino Sabatini is an artist who has released on Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts, Adam X’s Sonic Groove, Prologue and Delsin as well as collaborating with Edit Select and running his own label Outis Music.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Baubaus” is a bleeping, hypnotic trip. The subtle, dub techno tones and winding modular sonics paint a dystopian picture told with a delicate emotional and electronic character.

Rebekah returns to Soma for her latest EP titled The Bitter Boys Club, following appearances on Bas Mooy’s Mord, Developer’s Modularz and Adam X’s Sonic Groove.

With a sound that’s developed into shear toughness, she has forged a following of fans that love her choice of standout driving and dark beats. 🌝 Du hast mal erzählt, dass du in einer Disco aufgewachsen bist - stimmt das? woran erinnerst du dich da gerne? 

Ja, das stimmt. Ich bin so richtig im Disco-Betrieb, den mein Dad in unserer kleinen Heimatstadt geleitet hat, groß geworden. Somit hab recht früh alles rund um diesen Bereich kennen gelernt. Das aufregendste war wohl, als mein Dad die ‚zu kleine Fridi‘ mal kurz Abends zu einer Schaumparty mitgenommen hat und ich den Schaum anfassen durfte. Danach musste ich aber ganz ganz schnell ins Bett und sollte es vor allem nicht in der Schule rum erzählen, haha. Als ich dann endlich alt genug war, war's für mich super spannend selbst mitzumachen. Über Garderobe und Bar sowie mit meinem Bruder zusammen die Kasse schmeißen, oder Booking Ideen einwerfen - ich durfte mich überall mal üben und hab durch das mitarbeiten sehr viel (kennen-)gelernt. Nur DJ war ich damals noch nicht, das kam dann erst ein paar Jahre später - aber sicherlich war ich in dieser Ambition kindlich geprägt. Irgendwie auch gerade dadurch mit dem Ziel, Musik etwas anders zu gestalten als die klassischen EDMigen Charts DJ Sets (งツ)ว 

🌝 Du hast bestimmt mal über die Leute nachgedacht, die sich dein Set anhören werden - was für ein Gefühl möchtest du ihnen am liebsten mit in den Tag geben?

Zwischen den Online Uni Vorlesungen saß ich in den letzten Wochen sehr gern mal wieder vor Recordbox und hab mir recht viele Gedanken über den Flow der Tracks ineinander gemacht. Mein Ziel war, dass sich das Set von selbst Trägt und positive Geschmeidigkeit mit ein bisschen Schwung ausstahlt. Damit möchte ich den HörerInnen einfach ne schöne Zeit beim Kochen, Baden, Joggen oder was auch immer machen. Das Set sind quasi wohlwollende Darko Grüße von meinem Zimmer in eure Zimmer! Bleibt stets liebevoll & neugierig - auf dass wir uns hoffentlich bald endlich mal wieder live sehen <3

Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus unearthed Fur Coat (originally a duo) and promptly signed their debut EP “Space Ballad”. However, their release ‘You and I’ in 2012 truly put them on the map. Their debut album ‘Mind Over Matter’ followed and as a result the guys began rocking the dance floors of the most prestigious clubs in the world such as DC10, Watergate, The Warehouse Project, Rex Club, Fabric, Warung Beach and more.

After entering the RA Top 100 Poll straight in at 66, an accolade they have achieved now for two years in a row, Fur Coat evolved towards a melodic house and techno sound. Their skills were promptly picked for the infamous Balance Mix series and for the highly respected Essential Mix on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1.

Their music has garnered respect from some of the most legendary names in techno from Sasha, John Digweed, Tale Of Us and more. On top of all of this the pair launched their own label @oddityrecordings and showing no signs of stopping. With shows across Europe, North & South America and Asia.
Fur Coat’s story continues in 2021 as Sergio’s solo project pushing boundaries after releasing his second album “Polyphony” on Renaissance and constantly releasing new music on the world's most renowned electronic music labels, as well as pushing for new sounds and signing upcoming and established artists for his label Oddity.

Global Vibe Radio 247 Feat. Fur Coat (Oddity)

After starting out as a DJ in Leeds, UK, @tina-v has played in clubs, festivals and underground parties. She soon got into production, and has had a string of releases on labels like Night Light Records, Stick, In’deep’n’dance, Dynamo, Definitive, and many more. Gaining support from many of the big players in the scene, Tina’s music has made it onto the BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, and been charted and played by DJs like Richie Hawtin and Bart Skils.

Her groovy take on techno has brought her all around Europe, with gigs in cities like London, Barcelona and Berlin. Besides playing in top clubs in Scandinavia such as The Villa, Jaeger and Culture Box, she currently runs the night “Kinetics” - booking both local and international DJs with her partner Plain Jane.

Pan-Pot’s prized Second State imprint kick off the new year with a collaboration between two Berlin residents on their Before We Run EP that is set for a wax release as well as including a delectable digital exclusive track.

Born in Sweden, Grindvik is known for running the superb Stockholm LTD and contributing to Rødhåd’s Dystopian, Weekend Circuit or working with the likes of Pfirter. Teaming up this time is Berlina Für Techno label head Sylvie Maziarz who also has releases on Coyu’s Suara and Florian Meindl’s FLASH.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Utopia” that is raw and full of emotion. Combining an urgent dance floor energy with abstract sound design and sincere musicality, this enchanting creation shows the wonders of a leftfield approach.
