OFF / GRID makes a captivating debut on Life In Patterns with his 'Sonic Spectrum' EP. Previously recognized as an underground gem in the techno scene due to his acclaimed, self-released EP, 'Time To Shine,' the Hamburg-based producer has garnered significant attention in 2023 with EP releases on labels like Planet Rhythm, Uncage, DifferentSound, and Entourage Concept.
On LIP009, he presents four meticulously crafted vinyl tracks and a digital bonus track, each a testament to his remarkable talent for creating hard-hitting, euphoric DJ tools. His music is distinguished by cutting stabs, hypnotic acid lines, and a distinct dub influence, all seamlessly woven together with powerful drum sounds.

Bio:
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, OFF / GRID is an up and rising techno producer, influenced by classic detroit techno, dub techno and hardgroove with a profound appreciation for music spanning from jazz to jungle. In 2022 he debuted with his non-label EP "Time To Shine" on Bandcamp, swiftly grabbing the industry's attention. Since then OFF / GRID is expanding his footprint in the scene by releasing his own ever-evolving interpretations of techno.

EvilGroove, a techno label rooted in the United States, was co-founded by Lindsey Herbert and Jason Doll. Known for its support of both established names like Truncate and Dustin Zahn, as well as emerging underground talent, EvilGroove serves as a platform for diverse sonic expressions.

Hailing from Stuttgart, Germany, BR!NK brings to the table a formidable production repertoire on Move to the Groove LP, with his music gracing esteemed labels such as Robert Hoff’s trau-ma, DifferentSound, and Synergie.

Adding their touch to the release by way of remixes are Sira, a Belgian producer making his return to EvilGroove following a VA contribution and releases on AESIR, Transmission, and Pengan Records, as well as the mighty Drumcell.

Drumcell is a revered figure in the Los Angeles techno scene and who now runs his own vinyl pressing plant called Onyx. Renowned for his mechanical soundscapes, Drumcell’s work has found homes on prestigious labels like Rødhåd’s Dystopian, Chris Liebing’s CLR, Blank Code, and his own, now dormant, DROID Recordings. With collaborations alongside Speedy J and remixes for artists ranging from Dubfire to Alex Bau, Drumcell’s contribution with a new spin promises to elevate the superb release to new heights.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the his remix of “Reach” that begins with a thundering groove. Stabbing rave-like notes pierce the high-end giving it an old-school feeling, while the dense and pumping percussion make this fierce rework sound absolutely massive.

As a part of the renowned PoleGroup label, which has shown artists like Function, Tensal, Jeroen Search, Reeko, Jonas Kopp, and many others, Warm Up is an imprint of the legendary Spanish artist Oscar Mulero.

Having started his career on the cult label Prologue and released his latest music on essential platforms like Delsin to Edit Select, Italian Claudio PRC has become one of the most well-known names in deep and dubby techno, and his newest EP is titled Drifting Northward.

Enlisting the label head for the sole remix, Oscar Mulero brings his renowned cyclical sound to the release that has also been contributed to influential labels like Kr!z’s Token and P.E.A.R.L.’s Falling Ethics.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of “Focal Zone” with new percussion elements and a far-out sound. Morphing, modular synth tones create a smokey, dystopian design with a heads down groove that will mesmerise the senses into a transformative trip.

Germany’s Snork Enterprises has 18 years of music releases under its belt by artists like DJ Shufflemaster, Headless Horseman, Alexander Kowalski and Stanny Franssen in its back catalogue of raw techno gems.

The second entry to the new vinyl series welcomes back MasCon from Germany who has a 20 year production history including Bas Mooy’s Mord, Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien and Nachtstrom Schallplatten.

On remix duty, Sunil Sharpe is a key Irish techno don who’s known for his ripping vinyl only mixes and productions for the likes of Ellen Allien’s BPitch to Labrynth and his own Earwiggle.

For this DT:Premiere we selected Sunil Sharpe’s remix of “Cabernet” that has a thumping beat with abstract vocal hits. Punchy kicks and jackin’ clap rhythms are met with a stabbing main riff and wild sound effects adding a crazy twist to this analogue stormer.

Cogo is a Slovenian label who have a quality over quantity mantra having already featured music by Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi as well as remixes from Volster and Magna Pia.

The newest release VA.02 follows a 3 year hiatus, but they come in style by gathering a strong collective consisting of Dutch artist Jeroen Search, Belgium’s Border One, Spain’s ORBE, and label co-owner Tonske.

Netherlands star man, Jeroen Search, is up there with the best in my book. Releases on Kr!z’s Token, Ben Sims’ Symbolism and Len Faki’s Figure show his pedigree and he supplies another functional and dreamy, spaced-out jam.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Observer” that is a trippy and wonderful jam. Showing his hand with a sci-fi shakedown of modular bleeps and subtle tension locked into its sharp yet wonky groove.

Meet Lumos! With Lumos, he wants to create a dancefloor-oriented feel to the music, but he still experiments with more hypnotic sounds. He tries to find the perfect balance where he can make people dance while also expressing himself artistically. It took him a while to find this specific genre that he plays now. First, he was into hard techno, then hardgroove, and then he discovered the deeper stuff, where his passion grew exponentially. Because he discovered this music on the dancefloor, it's very important to him that the music is made for a dancefloor; it needs that kind of swing.

Gnotn was created during a creative challenge in October 2024. Ntogn invited the over 160 members of Aedi to choose and remix an unfinished project of his.

All submissions were gathered in an anonymous playlist and voted for by everyone in the community. The release title, track titles, and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

Yugen (幽玄) is made by Elisa Batti and Jorge Fons.

One year ago they met to record an improvised live set, and there the idea was born. They wanted to share something different: fresh new sounds seen through Wabi Sabi.

To capture a wide range of moods, they chose to shape five distinct pieces. Each track brings its own rhythm, from gentle and rhythmic sounds to gentle ambient soundscapes. And Helium is an extract from their live set, preserving all its natural energy.
