MEAT Recordings is the label of an Austrian event series and crew that has a focus on pushing homegrown talent. The newest EP welcomes back Matt Mor titled Peace Was Never An Option is collection of raw techno vibes and varying sound experiments.

Adding to the stature of this one, we see Spanish talent Kwartz grace the collection here, lighting it up to the next level. Many will know him from close ties Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup and Warm Up or releases on Cleric’s Clergy imprint and Bas Mooy’s Mord.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his take on “Method of Rebellion” that begins with an onslaught of atmospheric darkness. The thumping kick and haunting tones of a muted siren are met with droning textures as it strips completely back in the break before regaining it’s prowess of power once again.

It’s always a pleasure to have a visit from the family, so we welcome again Kessell at home. Not many words needed to introduce this classic producer whose name means skills, futurism and quality.

He offers four cuts of hypnotically driven techno, starting with Killing Vector. Sharp drum work, funky stabs and classy feeling.

Crypto follows with a more alien approach, random Fm sequences, shuffled grooves and asymmetrical synth lines.

Processed for use comes into tooly territories, with opaque sequences that progressively grow from the low part of the sound spectrum and a solid rythm backing, mutating and evolving wisely.

Refuse to conform sounds scifi and bleepy, irregular drum patterns, reverberated synth bleeps and lots of fx processing collide in a super intelligent mix tool.

Four tracks of pure techno aside of tendencies, for the real players out there.

Bade Records owners and two-time remix contributors Morven return to made of CONCRETE with their first full EP, with label member Toni Dextor up for remix duties.

"Western Super" is a slice of dance-inducing undulating techno, with a subdued percussion and catchy glitches ebbing and flowing as its obscure vocal seems to sputter through a radio loudspeaker in the backdrop. Another heavy-hitter comes in the shape of "Shift", which amps up the tension through its hard bassline and menacing snares. "Grindhouse" is yet another immersive, hazy dub techno piece which mesmerises from the get go. 

Toni Dextor’s remix of "Western Super" takes a detour into dark techno with effervescent synths and a subdued version of the vocal, leaving more room for the high impact of the enveloping, throbbing bass.
