MÉTIER is the new label from Jack! Who? and his UK based deathtechno.com project that is set to journey into deep, dreamy, dub, techno, acid, electro and ambient that will surprise and delight from release to release.

Allowing artists to experiment with new ideas, it has already featured UBX127 of Len Faki's Figure as Shifted Minds, Alex Dolby of Developer's Modularz as AX15 and William Arist of Gary Beck's BEK Audio as Dusicyon for example.

Italian Francesco De Marzo aka Pyramidal Decode has released on Jeff Mills' Axis, Oscar Mulero's Warm Up, Developer's Modularz, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection and Edit Select Records.

"115" is an ambient and trippy soundscape with a patient and cavernous sound made of wonderful design effects.

"Respiro" has a dreamy and delicate, air-filled feeling. The sparse, tide-like pad sweeps create a deep vibe met with the warm groove from the sub bass.

"Null" takes things up a notch with a pacy, broken beat style and rising intensity. Its cyclical elements buzz and fizz creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Closing the EP with "Walk" which is the moodiest offering, using an abstract approach of stripped back tension and creative, warping percussion.

Slovenian label Cogo are about to drop their highly anticipated sophomore release. Welcomed to the roster on the new vinyl package titled VA.01 are Ukranian Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, and label co-owner Tonske returning.

Inigo Kennedy is one of the UK’s most revered techno artists having crafted an outstanding sound as far back as 1996. His seminal releases on the likes of Tim Taylor’s Missile and Kr!z’s Token alongside a multitude on his own Asymmetric imprint, cement his new music as essential listening.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the Inigo Kennedy track titled “Lucid” that focuses on a sci-fi atmosphere. Bleeping, modular tones and additional layers create a hypnotic groove that captivates with perfect blend of tension and analogue knob-twiddling.

In just a few of years of operation Mitsubasa has been releasing vinyl and digital EPs featuring artists like Rove Ranger and Specific Objects, already proving it’s a label with an educated ear. For Frenzy’s third release, and the first solo release, the Uruguay-based William Arist is introducing us to his world of ‘tribal techno’. Hailing from the city of Montevideo, this Southern- American-born artist already is a talent to watch overseas. Through their like-minded vision of electronic music, William bonded strongly with our Amsterdam-based Frenzy crew over the last couple of years. This warm connection evolved into Frenzy 03 - showcasing pure dance floor eclecticism that only William can deliver, including two remixes by no other than VIL and rising star Kenji Hina aka Alarico.

The A side instantly kicks off at full good vibe-throttle with two productions that reminisce about those iconic Love Parade moments during the very first days of rave culture. Balancing on the edge of house and techno, ‘Chaka Chaka’ loops the listener into a straight sense of movement. With rhythmic drums and uplifting vocals, ‘Days’ feels like stepping into an after hour dance-floor at the beach while the morning sun rises through the exotic vegetation.

On the B side, William leans towards a more hypnotic sound. With a great tempo and a dark yet subtle mood, ‘Tero’ sets the tone for those murky clubbing moments where the boundaries dissolve and bodies merge. Slowly climbing out of the deep, ‘Gultural’ stays on the same energy level while adding dubby hints and a taste of freshness.

To top it off, the release is provided with two remixes that leave no room for interpretation. Portuguese producer VIL turned ‘Chaka Chaka’ into a true peak-hour beast while Italian multi- talent Alarico shows his versatile skill set with a speedy house remix of ‘Gultural’ under his Kenji Hina alias.

Naples-based up-and-comer Mystics is making impressive explorations in the underground scene. His fourth output will land on 47 and marks the apex of his heads down, rolling approach to techno and a development of his left-field futuristic sound.

The extended six-track EP sets the scene with “The Unexplored Pt. 1,” a strung out opener that spits out irradiant shards of glitch and gated vocals. The rest of the EP builds a cohesive canvas from this sonic palette. In “The Unexplored Pt. 2,” washes of static and breakbeats barrel under a drone-like pad, while “Oxford RM” steamrolls ahead with four-to-the-floor kick drums, barbed wire textures and an orbiting melody. On the B-side, the artist leans into his penchant for IDM with “But If” and “Shrouded In Mystery” with their wormhole, Warp-like ambience.Never leaning too far into the past, these songs form a collection of visionary rhythmic techno, conjuring a vision of a world that is as movingly melancholic as it is haunting and spare.

Following their last "Thirst Ep" released on Instrument of Discipline in 2019, the duo Diasiva (Monolog and Swarm Intelligence) returns with a five tracks work on the Berlin Imprint Arboretum.

While addressing the environmental issue of the human impact on natural ecosystems, Microplastic Ep seems to embark upon a journey of deconstruction of Techno, IDM and Bass Music towards futuristic paradigms.

Here, gritty broken-beats, wisely mixed with titanic basslines, an ominous dystopic temper seems to simulate the contemporary unrelenting strain, fading at time either into kaleidoscopic-visionary synthlines archetypes or cinematic rarefied epilogues for a comforting utopia.
