Italian-based imprint Evod LTD has gathered together another star-studded group of excellence that includes four individual tracks on the Alchimia EP from Argentine Jonas Kopp, label head Evod, Zadig from France and DJ Surgeles in the Netherlands.

Tresor, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted and his own Construct Re-Form are only some of the labels the Parisian Zadig has appeared on since the early ’90s, and along with his seductive vinyl only sets, he is a highly respected veteran of the scene.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Mono-Form” that’s a dark and powerful affair. A tornado of twisting bass and thundering percussion create an apocalyptic taste of destruction and cement this beast as a tenacious floor weapon.

Slovenian label Cogo are about to drop their highly anticipated sophomore release. Welcomed to the roster on the new vinyl package titled VA.01 are Ukranian Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, and label co-owner Tonske returning.

Inigo Kennedy is one of the UK’s most revered techno artists having crafted an outstanding sound as far back as 1996. His seminal releases on the likes of Tim Taylor’s Missile and Kr!z’s Token alongside a multitude on his own Asymmetric imprint, cement his new music as essential listening.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the Inigo Kennedy track titled “Lucid” that focuses on a sci-fi atmosphere. Bleeping, modular tones and additional layers create a hypnotic groove that captivates with perfect blend of tension and analogue knob-twiddling.

In just a few of years of operation Mitsubasa has been releasing vinyl and digital EPs featuring artists like Rove Ranger and Specific Objects, already proving it’s a label with an educated ear. Standing for “three-wings” meaning soul, heart and mind the newest release MTB005 is yet another exciting entry to their catalogue featuring more great talent like Benales, Zadig, Tsuyoshi Ogawa and Gerald VDH.

Zadig is a Paris-based artist who is known for his influential vinyl only sets and having made appearances on Tresor, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted, Arnaud Le Texier’s Children of Tomorrow and his own imprint Construct Re-Form.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Atlantic12” with a raw and punchy groove. The rolling, detuned modular tones expand and contract to create a constant building tension while highlights arrive by clutters of claps and bubbling textures to create a heady jam.

Dino Sabatini is an artist who has released on Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts, Adam X’s Sonic Groove, Prologue and Delsin as well as collaborating with Edit Select and running his own label Outis Music.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Baubaus” is a bleeping, hypnotic trip. The subtle, dub techno tones and winding modular sonics paint a dystopian picture told with a delicate emotional and electronic character.

With a sound that’s developed into shear toughness, she has forged a following of fans that love her choice of standout driving and dark beats. Eerie vibes of unnerving pitch-bending to distorted elephant trumpets, expect to be surprised by the inventive creations within these hard productions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected title track “The Bitter Boys Club” that focuses the undercurrent on a relentless kick and clap combo that rarely subsides. Setting it up perfectly, the main hook soon shows itself with a grinding, dirty synth that tears out the speakers with absolute ferocity.

Marking its 50th release, @skryptom-records’ label head, Electric Rescue, has invited a list of exceptional artists that have inspired and shaped the label’s sound since day one, to contribute to this anniversary compilation. 

With this project, Electric Rescue aims to cover all aspects of techno as expressed by the early pioneers like Scan X to the new generation’s talent like KUSS Gathering Generations represents all the sounds that someone could listen to on Skryptom since its first release, from Deep to Banging Techno, from Ambient to Electro. 

Rrose, Umwelt, Amotik, Anechoic are some of the artists who took on remix duties on tracks taken from Electric Rescue’s recent Esquisse du Nouveau Monde album while this fantastic package gets completed with five special collaborations by Electric Rescue with Zadig, Scan X, Joton, Dyspal, and KUSS. Collectively, these 12 tracks, constitute Skryptom’s representative sound throughout the years.

The portuguese scfi maker Nørbak is back home after his Faktor EP from January 2019. These non clubbing days look like the perfect scenario for listening to long distance works, so here you have this brand new album to enjoy at your private soundsystem. Flesh to Ashes will be released both physically and digitally, with an extra track on the downloadable version.
Nørbak is well known for his precision and deepness, always pushing forward production wise, focusing on the details and sound design aspects.
The album gravitates between beatless cuts, broken beats, profound exercises and virtual dancefloor weapons. Intro and Camera (the extra digital track) belong to the first category, The third morality is the broken cut, Flesh to ashes and Land of sin explore the deepest side of techno and the rest of the tracklist is about peak time tracks.The overall feeling while listening to this album is travelling out there where no gravity is the mood, swinging among stars and constellations, landing on undiscovered planets … a landscape with no viruses or facemasks or repression. A collection of attemporal tracks that will surely pass the test of time and be ready to be playable whenever this nightmare ends.
