This is what I often play for myself while I'm trying to decide what to play next.  I have played this piece for many years and have finally decided that there is no such thing as perfection as far as this piece is concerned.  It's rather like the "whack-a-mole" at a county fair -- take care of one problem and another crops up.  So, I am just going with it.  Problems and all. (I've listed the lyrics below because they define the essence of this piece.)

Jan Schonander invited me to participate in his Four Seasons for Piano project with "summer" as my assigned season.  Since I am no Vivaldi I reached back to the Tin-Pan Alley "Good Old-Summertime" (1902) for inspiration.  Not really an arrangement per se, but rather a quote.

Best described as eclectic, my style is a soothing mix mirroring my personality: mostly mellow with the occasional outburst. Although I have a background in classical piano I have always loved to create and improvise.  Since early childhood I have been trying to duplicate on the piano what I hear in my head.  Now I see how formal studies and improvisation fit together perfectly. I hope to always keep growing and learning, reflecting the beauty of Christ in all my endeavors.
