Matt Deco’s Vibe Studies imprint returns in 2020 with some more left-of-center drum & bass. On this release, Matt links up with @deafblind, the co-founder of Encrypted Audio based out of Austin, Texas. The A side features Fried Memory, a slice of halftime drum & bass replete with deft drum programming, subtly distorted bass, and plenty of club appeal. On the flip side is Dankey Kang, a more beats-focused track with looser drum programming and noisier sound design than the A side.

Cajun is a Swiss-English producer and DJ that is now based in France. Born into a family of musicians and artists, from a very young age he started experimenting with instruments and then electronic production, music quickly became the driving passion in his life. Over many years he explored the depths of melody, groove, and rhythm, crossing many styles and emotions, free from the restraints of genres and codes.

It was an entirely selfish endeavour, a primal need for creative expression through the medium of sound, almost exclusively for his ears alone. But in 2021, after more than 10 years of electronic music production he decided to focus his energy into creating a liveset to share with the dancefloor. This new branch of his music fell loosely into the Psytechno category, with a focus on intricate melodies, deep groovy basslines and hypnotic funky percussion and rhythms.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres, including hip-hop, drum and bass, dubstep, and trap, Systomatik has developed a distinctive style that combines hard-hitting basslines, intricate melodies, and infectious rhythms. Playing sets that are characterized by a seamless fusion of genres, pushing the boundaries of conventional bass music and creating an immersive sonic experience for the audience.

Mysterious, mercurial and multi-faceted. Producer / DJ SorchaLula has as many shades to her music as she does to her personality. She flows from slinky sensuality, to fierce filth, to the uncompromising underground. Every set features her original tracks, many melting with honeyed vocals by singer Samuel (Cecilia’s Crop). In tune with what the body needs, she entwines beauty with bravery, sinuous melodies with hefty bass, lush peaks with decadent darkness. 

She has played many top festivals around Aotearoa: Northern Bass, Shipwrecked Festival, Twisted Frequency, Aum Festival NYE, CubaDupa, Taniwha’s Den and more. She is highly rated by some of the biggest names in the scene for her taste, depth, and intuitive understanding of dancefloors. As founder of The Sensonauts she created events exploring the senses, music, dance, and music education with a focus on inclusivity.
