With the &#8220;Sub Shaper EP&#8221; Ramon Tapia returns to his Say What? mother ship, after a hectic summer schedule.

&#8220;Sub Shaper&#8221; falls just right side of moody, with it&#8217;s brooding, dramatic tones and bombastic bass. With plenty of jack for your dance floor, it layers percussion in thick layers, driven by unrelenting male vocals and a trademark Ramon Tapia rhythm.

&#8220;Asteroid&#8221; is based on a driving bass line that glues the track together, the mysterious background mood is one of electric weirdness, with searching synths spiraling in the foreground and nagging effects disappearing off into space.

Showcasing the many moods of our label, Nick Daring is here to take things a to bit tougher territory, and opener &#8220;Freak Kill&#8221; is a drum-heavy workout sprinkled with melodic vocal edits and delicate synth work.&nbsp; &#8220;Erase Control&#8221; goes for a more stomping approach and emanates a haunting -yet quirky- vibe thanks to the unique effects and intricate programming.&nbsp; On the chord-heavy &#8220;Pherezer&#8221; we are treated to a definite nod to the old school while the rocksteady rhythm section chugs away, and the EP closes with some more retro vibes courtesy of &#8220;Same Shame&#8221; where rising and falling synths take center stage alongside housey strings and classic drum sounds.

Deep Site Recordings welcomes Dee Mac with two wicked new originals as well as remixes. “Do Your Thing” is an infectious tune that uses a harmonious keyboard refrain coupled with tight rhythms and a solid bassline. The second original track, “Seduction”, takes a deeper path with its sublime melodics, cascading pads, and metrical rhythms. DJ Funky T’s Seranade Mix of “Do Your Thing” rearranges the samples while utilizing a new arrangement and recapitulation of the main melody. The Couch Bastards Remix takes a techier approach to the proceedings by developing upon reiterating phrasing motifs from the original on top of smooth cadences. Addex takes “Seduction” for a remix spin with beautiful island style panache, taking the original deep out into an ocean sunset.
