With the &#8220;Sub Shaper EP&#8221; Ramon Tapia returns to his Say What? mother ship, after a hectic summer schedule.

&#8220;Sub Shaper&#8221; falls just right side of moody, with it&#8217;s brooding, dramatic tones and bombastic bass. With plenty of jack for your dance floor, it layers percussion in thick layers, driven by unrelenting male vocals and a trademark Ramon Tapia rhythm.

&#8220;Asteroid&#8221; is based on a driving bass line that glues the track together, the mysterious background mood is one of electric weirdness, with searching synths spiraling in the foreground and nagging effects disappearing off into space.

The second original track, “Seduction”, takes a deeper path with its sublime melodics, cascading pads, and metrical rhythms. DJ Funky T’s Seranade Mix of “Do Your Thing” rearranges the samples while utilizing a new arrangement and recapitulation of the main melody. The Couch Bastards Remix takes a techier approach to the proceedings by developing upon reiterating phrasing motifs from the original on top of smooth cadences. This title track is rife with resplendent minor-key tonality, dark melodic sensibilities, coupled with driving drum work. The sublime Jon Lee Remix recapitulates the main synth riff which is mixed into a slow burning build up of counter-melodic synths and drum machine grooves. On September 4th, Peckham-based DJ and producer duo ​Chaos In The CBD ​will announce their ​In Dust We Trust ​UK & Ireland tour, and share a stream of their new track ‘Come Together’, from their upcoming 12” ‘Come Together / Digital Sound’.

The ​In Dust We Trust ​label tour will see the duo playing extended sets on a six-stop tour across the UK & Ireland, with stops at Manchester’s ​Hidden,​ London’s ​Corsica Studios ​and Brighton’s Patterns, ​with support from IDWT label co-founder Jon Sable.

They have also shared their new track ‘Come Together’, a jacking, percussive heavy hitter which features searing synths and a fierce bassline, from their new EP to be released on their IDWT imprint this October.

Louis from ​Chaos In The CBD says: “​Beans, Sable and I had been spitballing the idea of running a label for several years prior to moving to London in 2012. The turning point was getting a tattoo of IDWT on my arm in Paris, which for me meant I had to follow through with the project. After a long period of back and forth and feelings of trepidation leading up to the first release, the label has since gone from strength to strength.

The purpose of IDWT has always been to serve as an outlet to release our own music without being at the mercy of external labels, whilst also retaining full control of the project both musically and aesthetically. Our goal has always been to release timeless music that we will be proud of for decades to come. It’s been a natural progression since conception, and running label nights feels like the next logical step and will allow us to highlight some of our exceptionally talented DJ friends.”
