Belgium’s music scene has few cornerstones. R&S set a first in the 80s, Soulwax came in the 90s and Eskimo emerged in the early 00s, its evolution since more colourful than all of them combined. Taking music into emotion, introducing new names and spotlighting the cream of the current crop, ‘The Orange Collection’ is bright, genial and buoyant. 

‘The Orange Collection’ is the latest installment in a new compilation series on Eskimo based around colours. Following the lauded first three chapters in this enterprising series -Pink, Blue and Green- Eskimo once again selected 12 songs with exquisite care. An effortless journey encompassing a range of sounds through indie dance, nu disco and electronica, it’s reassuring to find that Eskimo still stands for timeless quality and originality.

Jesus Gonsev - Honey Bunny (Loz Goddard Remix)

John Digweed’s Bedrock label is focused on releasing exceptional, forward-thinking electronic music, constantly working with some of the world’s finest artists, whose musical palettes are intensely inspired and musically diverse. Quivver (aka John Graham) is one such true musical innovator, renowned as being one of the scene’s most essential creators since the early 1990’s. Here, he once again returns to Bedrock with his “Takin’ Over EP”, showcasing three stunning new creations. 

“With Takin’ Over I wanted to do something for the summer with a slightly old school flavour. It’s the most melodic track I’ve written in a while and I specifically had Ibiza’s beaches in mind in the studio. I wanted it to be a track that would sound good pre-club, post-club and in a club – so the chord stabs are soft and the acid riffs sparse and echoed so it has a laid back feel and I layered some ambient noise in the background so it sounds a bit like it was recorded live at some outdoor beach club somewhere…” – Quivver

The extraordinarily evocative title track is a truly beautiful musical master-class, with a timeless quality that immediately sets this EP apart from so much of today’s disposable mass music production line. “Lose Your Way” ups the energy levels and darkness factor, its filmic qualities taking things into a very different audio-visual realm. In yet more textural contrast, “Time Goes By” displays a deeply euphoric attitude that is uplifting, intelligent and magical. There can be no doubt that Quivver remains one of the world’s standout electronic artists in 2015.

John Graham (Quivver) started his production career in the early 1990’s, and has been a household name within the electronic music scene ever since, operating under various monikers, each representing a different shade of his incredibly broad, eclectic production palette. Not only a worldwide renowned DJ/Producer, as a vocalist, John has collaborated and written electrifying songs for the likes of Hybrid, Planet Funk and also Darren Emerson’s The Low Highs. His new rock/electronic album "Cold Sun" has also just been released. 

If you haven’t discovered the beautiful, chilled “Takin’ Over – Reprise” on the 8am disc of the new John Digweed’s “Underground Sound of Ibiza Series 2” (Bedrock) album, it also comes highly recommended.

Deep Site Recordings welcomes back SAVVAS to our fold with 
the brand new track, “Between Time”. Sonically sophisticated as well as 
elegantly lush in sound, the pads and keyboards merge sweetly with 
peculating rhythms and sonorous bass resulting in a very polished House 
track. The first remix brings a warm welcome and Deep Site debut for Ilias Katelanos whose remix recapitulates the original's keyboards, pads, and stabs while taking them into more ethereal areas of deepness. Forteba's remix utilizes the cinematic qualities inherent in the original, using them to craft a wickedly funky dancefloor reworking. Closing out with Loz Goddard
 whose remix brings the party atmosphere to the fore with celebratory 
voices merging with beautiful orchestration, new synthesizer lines, and a

Savvas - Between Time (Forteba Remix)

Last year we've released the stunningly beautiful Joy EP by Italian duo Coa and Label Mou better known as Might at Night. We're happy to present you a couple of fresh dance floor reinterpretations by Boss Axis, Daniel Zuur and Hot TuneiK!

Boss Axis have made name for their selves with a bunch of great releases and remixes, with Parquet Recordings as their home base, and the German duo plays a mighty fine live set too. They rework the 'Goodbye' song with their trademark melodic deep house flavor here which is marking their Manual Music debut.

Dutchman Daniel Zuur has appeared on Manual Music before and returns after an absence of two years, taking things a little deeper on his take on the 'Joy' song making it a dreamy and moody melancholic track without loosing sight on the dance floor.

To finish things off in style we've asked Mexico's rising star Hot TuneiK to join in as well and we're sure his take on 'Goodbye' will please the progressive house crowds worldwide for sure. Keep on eye on this guy as he's been on fire lately and his future's looking bright!
