Glasgow based Fernie has been immersing himself in the local scene since 2002 taking influences from the city's many techno stalwarts holding residences at a number of the areas key venues allowing him to hone his style over the years.

He provides both deep and driving hypnotic sets full of energy and soaring pads. This same ethos is relayed through his own productions which have seen release across a wide selection of respected labels.

Most recently he continues to develop his own Space Textures imprint facilitating the release of some of the finest atmospheric techno on offer. He also works with the influential Norway based Monument group to deliver podcasts and streams from artists around the globe.

In this session for Temple.Prayer, Fernie delivers a near 2 hour mix of both vinyl and digital selections with a number of unreleased productions and picks from the vaults providing a meandering journey into his mind.

Temple.Prayer #085 Fernie

The Sardinia based artist Ludovica Frauu created the fourth journey of our Herbarium mix series. It's all about a very fresh sounding groovy journey, an exquisit selection of gems, we are very honoured to feature this wonderful trip. Its story reveals a wide spectrum of moods which are mixed together in a beautiful way. You will stumble upon diverse textures, polyrhythmic drums patterns and interesting harmonies.

To connect the mood of the mix to the herbal concept of the series, the artist chose the plant Capparis spinosa (caper), which she is particularly fond of. Her grandparents had a large plant in their garden. They used to pick its fruit and then process it. The plant is very hardy and grows even in the city, as it is able to penetrate its roots into the interstices of stones. In fact it is considered a rebel plant, because it decides how and where to grow. The flower is beautiful and elegant and is an unharvested fruit, bloomed.
The first part of the set reminds of the flower, the second of the plant itself.

FADAR is a new project by Bart Jansen. Bart has started creating techno since 2012, and over the past years his music has been evolving and growing in sound and performance, exploring, and experimenting with various setups.

Fadar, is an YPNOTIKA resident whose signature sound is hypnotic, deep and dark techno. For his sets he uses his modular synthesizer to create a unique story in every set - building tension for an immersive release with the use of a view element that returns into his performances like a threat.

For the past decade, Red Noise (@red_noisedj) has been the brainchild of Tomás González—sound engineer, DJ, and key figure in Medellín’s electronic scene. His deep, atmospheric sound moves fluidly between Techno and Ambient, seamlessly blending breakbeat, groove, and rich sonic textures to craft a signature style that has made him a reference within his genre. 

Founder of 1024 Records and a core member of Medellín’s Rouge collective, Tomás is deeply involved in the city's underground scene. Beyond his work as an artist, he also shares his knowledge as an educator at spaces like El Club De Audio, helping shape the next wave of sound designers and electronic music producers.

His music has landed on labels like Inner Tension, Orbitando, From A Lost Place, Seis, KVLTÖ (Mexico), and Indefinite Pitch (China). On stage, he’s performed at some of the country’s most renowned venues and festivals, including Tunnel, Garden, Elíptica, Freedom (2022 & 2023), Auditum, and EON. Along the way, he’s played alongside Mike Parker, Blazej Malinowski, Kwartz, Wata Igarashi, Polygonia, Luigi Tozzi, Artefakt, Anthony Linell, among others, solidifying his presence in the electronic music scene.

The authors of the 11th mix for Bassiani podcast series is Dadub, an Italian electronic music duo and mastering engineers, based in Berlin. Dadub used to be a solo project started by sound designer and musician Antezza in 2008. At this time Daniele came via Rome where he'd plunged himself into production and electronic music. Soon he was joined by Conti who was working on the interactive digital art projects at that time. Both members are working in Artefacts Mastering studio and are highly connected to Stroboscopic Artefacts label where they have released 4 EPs , including "Way To Moksha", "Preternity" and recent critically acclaimed debut album “You Are Eternity”.

“We care a lot of low frequencies and deep hypnotic atmospheres, and we both were drummers, so we guess the beats are important for us, both the patterns and the sounds,” –Bassiani’s 11th podcast mix is all about cinematic conceptual techno, ambient and dub. Antezza and Conti, a duo whose output is underpinned by a mutual curiosity, bring us dynamic, abstract musical adventure, with its ups and downs. Starting with atmospheric, dark oriented intro, the mix turns into diverse rhytmic section and end up with solid techno records.
