We first discovered Fernie (Intersum, Dosis Records, Space Textures, Eram-Records) when our friends over at Temple Recordings invited him to contribute to their podcast series, and what a happy discovery it was. For us, the Glaswegian born DJ and producer is keeping deep, atmospheric techno alive in the best possible way, honouring the heart of soul of what makes it so special, as illustrated through his creative endeavours as an artist, and through his Space Textures imprint. 

Deeper electronic music has always tugged on our heart strings - an emotional, energetic pull that points to nothing less than a deep soul connection that goes far beyond any words can attempt to express. But then again, who needs words when we have the music, and we only have to immerse ourselves in a Fernie mix to feel that familiar feeling stirred within, with atmospheric soundscapes, deep grooves and hypnotic percussions leading the way, woven together with infinite care and control. 

We are therefore super happy to bring you a 2.5 hour journey courtesy of the man himself - the perfect opportunity to surrender yourself to the deeper spheres of electronic music in all its warmth and beauty, for which Fernie is swiftly making a name for himself.

We first caught wind of maya q earlier this year though her sophomore release for London imprint All Centre. Anyone with a penchant for hot footing it to a takeaway after a late night booze up will have had a chuckle at the title of the first track. Merrily, I hastened to the chicken shoppe / beno (soft) marked maya's second outing on the well-respected label, following 2021's I just wanna. 

Both EPs, along with the releases' predecessor on Scuffed Recordings, showcase her experimental approach to creating swung rhythms, low end frequencies and syncopated drum patterns inspired by jungle, UK bass, breaks and UKG, but with her own unique melodic and playful touch.

When maya isn't making music, she DJing as part of the Co-Select crew alongside the likes of TSUNIMAN, Airali and Will Hofbauer, the latter of whom released her most recent musical outing, break rev, on his Third Place imprint.

We got her on board for a mix that threads together the music she loves from poppy electronics to ethereal jungle, liquid DnB and playful vox-soaked rhythms.

The 41st 꿈 kkum episode is one hour live set by electronic artists Unjin & Romi. Unjin is the founder of Korea's first techno label ECI Korea and has been active as an electronic/ambient/techno artist since the 90s in Seoul, and Romi is the specialist of deep techno and ambient and the head of label Kizen Records in Hong Kong. They recorded this special ambient live set together in Berlin 2022 while touring Europe. We start the new year 2023 with the fantastic dream episode of Unjin & Romi, a combination of the two artists' signature sounds and field recordings.
This episode is officially released in the form of 40 limited edition cassette tapes and digital download/streaming, and a music video by director Yoo Suk-geun is released on YouTube.

Here we are again with a new musical adventure, this time featuring a mix from Phanom, a Brussels-based artist who has played in some of Belgium’s best clubs and performed at Mo:Dem Festival.

The moment I listened to what she had prepared, I realized how much our musical backgrounds align. This set perfectly reflects my own musical journey, starting with a fast-paced, psychedelic energy that even touches on sounds I used to play over a decade ago, like forest and dark psy. 
Gradually, it transitions into deeper, more hypnotic textures, slowing the tempo and settling into the vibe that defines my sound today.

It feels both personal and a bit surreal, but sometimes, the right musical connection happens naturally between people who share a similar path and evolution.

So, if you’re ready to dive into the abyss of psychedelic sound and deep techno, press play and enjoy!

Clarence Rise is a French techno producer and DJ, whose sometimes dark but always introspective music draws on his deep connection with nature and the twists and turns of the psyche. His compositions combine complex rhythmics with organic sound design, diving listeners in hypnotic, immersive soundscapes.

Aawadh is a French DJ and producer who explores hypnotic tribal rhythms with deep textures. Mainly influenced by organic percussion and immersive atmospheres, his music flows across a wide spectrum of genres. His debut tracks, recently released on Techlab (Budapest) and Aneehli Records (Tbilisi), mark a shift toward rhythmically complex and exploratory forms, which fully take shape on his album Dyadica, recently released on the Annulled Music label.

Ina Kacz's sound is a captivating fusion of tribal grooves, hypnotic rhythms with a slight touch of trance, drawing from a wide variety of influences. The French/Polish artist, now based in Tbilisi, crafts music that always retains an emotional touch at its core.

Ina's words about her DSS: "For this mix, I wanted to explore a different side of my selection, slower tempos, progressive and trancy touches, summery moods, and plenty of vocals. I recorded it with many of the tracks I played on the Horoom floor at Bassiani, Tbilisi, last June in mind."

Helsinki raised, Paris based Jeku is know for his trippy, psy-infused rhythms, expertly crafted to compel movement and progressively elevate the senses.

With acclaimed releases on labels like Craigie Knowes, Haŵs, and Avoidance, and his most recent EP ‘Twisted Utopia’ on Harmony Records, Jeku continues to push the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.

About the mix: "This mix is heavily inspired by my recent experiences at Pe:rsona and Ozora festivals, which I attended back-to back straight from one to the other. I found a resurgence in deeper and slowly evolving sets which felt so fresh I wanted to channel that energy into this mix. Best enjoyed outdoors or afters!"

vcr is a Brussels-based DJ, composer, and co-founder of GIMIC Radio, known for crafting immersive soundscapes that blur the boundaries between genres. With a sharp ear for spatial composition and an instinctive sense for rhythm, vcr weaves together techno, tribal motifs, minimal sounds, and trance into hypnotic, evolving narratives.

As a co-founder of GIMIC Radio, vcr also plays an active role in nurturing Brussels’ underground scene, creating platforms for artists and fostering a sense of community around."


“For this mix, I really enjoyed digging and finding tracks that spoke to me without setting too many boundaries in terms of genre. I wanted to let things flow naturally, to follow a feeling rather than a structure. There’s a strong presence of 90s cuts throughout — records that carry mind-trip energy, nostalgica, expensive and deep sounds, which felt right for this one.”

This set is recorded at the magnificent Modem festival(momento demento)in Croatia. We had the privilege to experience this performance live at the festival this summer. A moment we will cherish forever ...

Kovyazin D (Dmitry Kovyazin) is one of the most recognizable electronic artists. He is a current resident of System 108 community and is mostly well-known for his releases on M>O>S, Craigie Knowes, Eidetic (Brokntoys) and so on.

In his music, live acts and dj sets Dmitry balances between the different periods of 'synth' music, artfully mixing the warm sound of analog instruments with cold melodies and noises, operating with the combination of Acid House, Italo Disco, New-Beat, EBM and Electro.
