The highly anticipated Incomplete Light EP by Night On Wish Mountain is set for release on Juncture Music in February 2024. Rough textures and stark landscapes balanced with electrified dub-infused rhythms, brings some new direction to the label and continues to highlight local artists.

Paul Anthony, also known as Night On Wish Mountain, as well as KI, Canada High, Equal Ways, Rigid Body Dynamics, is also half of the Canadian Post Punk duo Touched Fables, who recently put out a very well received full length album called A Thousand Goodbyes on Disown Me Recordings.

Hailing from Ottawa, Canada, Paul is a prolific producer who got his start remixing electronic legends Mark Archer / Altern8, Si Begg, Unique 3, and Rhythmatic via UK based record label Mutate Records between 2010 and 2012. Aside from releasing music on dozens of labels around the world, many of Paul's tracks have been featured in independent films, documentaries, MTV / NBC / CBC and BBC 4 television shows, modern dance scores, and gallery installations

"Party is Over is a vignette of romantic love in a state of peace.  It’s a portrait of a couple at the end of a celebration, soaking up a quiet moment together -  an empty dance hall, confetti on the floor and one more slow dance. It was inspired by my own experience as well as great love stories in cinema. 

My goal for the recording was for it to feel effortless and romantic.  When it came time to capture it at Jon’s studio, we started experimenting with loops on his vintage Optigan, a toy organ designed by Mattel in the early 70s. We chose a meditative and wistful waltz  that captures the feeling of nostalgia and set the tone for the rest of the track. 

I was grateful to have multi-instrumentalist and artist Via Mardot contribute to the song with strings and theremin, both of which help give a cinematic feeling that builds throughout." - Hannah Connolly
