Paride Saraceni’s debut Truesoul release, ‘Burning’, brings us three uplifting and vocal-heavy tech house tracks. A steady groove throughout, Saraceni’s choice of instrumentation and flowing percussion create a melodic yet techy release with all three tracks laced with a solid kick drum, tinkering high hats and sporadic vocals. ‘Burning’ is is the perfect offering for the new year and proves there are big things on the horizon for Saraceni.

Madrid native Dennis Cruz makes his Solid Grooves Records debut with three rumbling cuts including a remix from fellow countryman Wade.

Since his debut in 2010, Cruz has become a staple in Beatport’s charts, not to mention the sets of artists such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Yousef and Roger Sanchez. Throughout this time the likely producer has dropped releases on Saved, Deeperfect, Stereo Productions and Kinetika, not to mention his very own imprint Lemon-Aid Music. He now arrives on PAWSA & Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves Records, joining the likes of Wade, Kuo Climax and Rockwell & Landers for an exciting second year for the label.

Initiating with the sound of a roaring crowd, ‘See Line’ was produced with the dancefloor in mind using thudding kicks, arcane vocal samples and an energetic rhythm. ‘Heads or Cruz’ is a more low-slung number with a focus on a killer groove, whilst ‘Bienvenido’ engages in a medley of percussive elements geared for peaktime antics. Tying the package together, Wade remixes ‘See Line’ to give it his signature twist whilst ensuring the heady vocals reiterate throughout.

The fast-rising Irish talent lands a thrilling debut on Truesoul. 

Symptomatic of the fertile scene in his home country, Rebūke is rapidly making a mark courtesy of his patented soundclash of house, techno and rave. His Outhouse parties which run regularly in his hometown of Letterkenny, Ireland, have made an impression, hosting the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Mella Dee, Ejeca, Kettama and Huxley all in the last 12 months. While on the release front he’s landed strong EPs on Dirtybird, DFTD and Hot Creations, where his track ‘Along Came Polly’ was anointed Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and spent five weeks at no.1 in Beatport’s overall charts.

He pulls no punches on his maiden outing for Truesoul. ’50 First Raves’ is a fizzing, technicoloured trip as urgent synth stabs and bouncy bottom end juxtapose with uplifting melodic interludes crafted for peak-time impact. ‘Posers Ray Gun’, is a fleet-footed mongrel bleeding together influences that span chunky breakbeats, hoovers and exhilarating warehouse-ready rave with rough-edged house music dynamics. ‘Ready To Fly’ is Rebūke’s take on a traditional tribal house record, but with his energetic rave-infused twist.

Once again Thomas and Tassilo are back and this time they come direct with three fierce cuts of proper, intense Techno. The trio of tracks all embody the heavy, dark, and psychedelic moments of wild club moments and warehouse nights, yet all three tracks take a different approach to arrive with the same intention. 'Radio Berlin' kicks things off as a hefty and infectious groove sets the stage for a swirling hypnotic tone that weaves through strong blasts of cinematic tones and booming percussion shots in a slick, spell binding ride. Following suit but turning up the intensity and adding a bit more of an abrasive touch, 'Deutsche Welle' veers into truly sinister territory where mischievous arpeggios and breakneck percussion thrive on a backdrop of eery atmospherics, flawlessly creating a rave detonator. The final addition to the EP is definitely the deepest and most trippy campaign of the trio: 'Kanal 7' is an absolute burner with an intensely addictive groove of rolling low end. Lush, spooky tones hypnotize and wildly dynamic patterns of unshakable percussion keep it ever evolving, forging a versatile and nostalgic tune with massive results.

With over 35 years of DJ and production experience under his belt, acid house pioneer DJ Pierre has curated a phenomenal 12 track compilation of acid material from some of the best in the business for 'Acid 88 Volume III' - a collection of original tunes that showcase the breadth and depth of his beloved genre.

Set to land on June 7 via his Afro Acid imprint, some of the artists that Pierre has selected for this latest undertaking includes names like Mark Archer, A Guy Called Gerald, K’Alexi & Tony Loveless and many more. Ahead of the album's physical release, DJ Pierre has handed over Lauren Flax's new composition, 'The Acid Flex' - a hotly tipped 303 driver that explores acid house's more spacious and minimal tenors.

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse.

8-track carries a heavy emotional weight beneath its seductive kick-drums, glistening snares, and perfectly synched 4/4 phrases. Its subtleties can feel hard to pin down, but what’s swimming beneath that gleaming production is the cathartic energy associated with overcoming trauma.
