Welcome to the 1th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This is the very first podcast to explore the realms of Ambient music. The first producer is Cryobiosis! Enjoy a journey into the spherical sounds and field recording dwelling in textures. Sometimes dark but always with a touch of brightness. Sit back and enjoy!!

Bio:

  Cryobiosis is an ambient project from Cluj, Romania created by Cristian Voicu. The project attempts to paint with sound the environment and feelings that surround a man who awakens in a harsh and frigid post-apocalyptic world. Industrial ruins spread before his eyes while strange voices and distant signals echo through the dark mist. As he begins to discover the remnants of the old world, past memories of atrocities and terrible wars unfold inside his shattered memory.The music generally consists of haunting pads blended with field recordings, piano melodies and subtle rhythms. A lot of care has been put in the details and quality of the tracks.

   The first Cryobiosis album, “From the Depths” has been released in August 2012. In the fall of 2012, Cryobiosis became a part of the Cryo Chamber label and contributed a song, “Departure” to the label’s first compilation, “Behind The Canvas Of Time”. The second Cryobiosis album, titled “Within Ruins” was released in 2013 on Cryo Chamber and was well received by critics and listeners. "Inner Stasis" was released in July 2014 on Cryo Chamber, continuing and completing the bleak story from the previous albums.

Bio:

Meeting up on the Interwebz somewhere in '98, a mutual love for drum 'n' bass was the foundation for a great friendship and a musical alliance in multiple genres. After hosting radioshows and DJ'ing for years, Cyance is currently producing and remixing tracks for labels like Mindtrick and Touched. Southern Depot has never lost and will never lose his love for drums, but a new passion for quite the opposite in the musical spectrum surfaced some years back for the both of them: ambient music from light to dark. Together, Cyance and Southern Depot create their 'Aerial Views' ambient mixes.

Darren Harper (b.1970) is an experimental/ambient sound artist residing high within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Drawing from both electronic and acoustic sources, his compositional output is based entirely on experimentation and improvisation, with a strong emphasis on minimalism, and often reflects a desire for a greater understanding of nature and self, and the relationship therein…

Welcome to the 5th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. MIxed by Apobothra from Moscow, Russia.

Bio:

Aleksei Klimkin (Apobothra) is a Moscow based electronic music producer who has been inspired by such musicians as The Future Sound of London, Autechre, Biosphere, Brian Eno, Basic Channel / Rhythm & Sound, DeepChord / Echospace, ASC / Mindpsan, bvdub, Fluxion, Quantec, Fingers In The Noise and others. Starting with drum&bass in 2006 his tastes have gradually shifted to deeper electronic music such as dub techno, deep techno and ambient. Many of his tracks have been supported by some big names on the scene. His first release with Apobothra alias was released on Spaceal Orbeats label in the end of 2013 and simultaneously became his first album. It is called ‘In Search for an Explanation’ and the production style there is based on author’s intoxication by science and particularly by astrophysics.
In real life "Apobothra" is an astronomical term whose meaning is quite similar to "Apogee", but while Apogee is the point of greatest distance between the Earth and its orbiting object, Apobothra is the furthermost point on the Black Hole orbit.

Born under the shade of the sails of Scampia, difficult neighborhood at the periphery of Naples. Born in 1980, she embarked on a career in the music world working very hard, starting as a waitress in many clubs and then as a dancer for several years. 
When she was a teenager she moved to Northern Italy for the high school, started a route into the world of fashion industry studying to become a fashion designer, but soon she understands that his path was in a completely different direction, enthusiasm for the night life in the local gave her the right reason to start a journey that now counts a lot of people who appreciate her, first of all for her talent. 
Came back soon to live in her hometown, Naples, who led Deborah to work on her knowledge into new music genres and trends, giving shape to a charisma that immediately has worked hard with productions signed by her as Sola_mente Records label founded in March 2013. Bio:

Krushak´s musician roots and influences don't began with electronic music, but with metal, in his childhood he plays the drums(he says thats the reason why he loves variated beats in his mixes). With the Age of 17, he found his love in Techno, but not in his deep / dark taste which he lives and loves today. His musical portfolio of today which consists of genres like, industrial, dark ambient, hypnotic, noize or some kind of drone began to grow and expand deeper and deeper since discovering artists like Samuel Kerridge,OAKE, Kareem, Casual Violence, Scam. or Relic Radiation.(...) Names like this, are the reason for the twisted musical mind Krushak has today. Since 2 years now he runs a series of Mixes on his Soundcloud Page which he called "Dark Ambient Techno Sessions". Started with a close atmosphere in the mixes , with less variation at the beginning of the series, it changed into a more powerful and more variated sound experience today. Krushak want to get you through a story with his mixes.

With this mix he returns a little bit more to his hypnotic techno roots, but not completely, he wants to show you of what his collection is capable of.

At just under halfway in, 2019 is undoubtedly another pivotal year for tech house, especially when it comes with a healthy serving of booty-bouncing bass and a delectable weirdness that accompanies a particular set of supremely talented artists. Enter VNSSA, who has seen her career take off in epic fashion this year, releasing on notable labels including Box of Cats, Psycho Disco!, and of course, Bay Area house mainstay Dirtybird.

Anybody who has had the pleasure of catching VNSSA live knows that she's packing some serious heat. With an exceptional talent for finding the right track at the right moment, every set she throws down is pure kinetic energy - and what an appropriate moment for that as she heads to EDC Las Vegas for the weekend to play no less than four sets, including what is set to be an action-packed pool party at Camp EDC on Sunday with fellow Dirtybird artists Justin Martin and Walker & Royce.

Welcome to the 59th chapter of the Ambient Sessions. Created by Krushak. 

Holy Wars... memorable rituals... agony.... sparks of hope... depressions... beating depressions... dark ancient epic atmospheric sound vs intrusive brain conquering noise sounds

All that summarized you get when you listen to a Mix of Krushak, its not just a DJ set, but also a sound movie. Krushak, born 1996, got influenced by various metal bands, later when he discovered techno, he quickly translated all his influences of art and expierence from live in the musical taste splitted in the genres: industrial, hypnotic, dark ambient, noise. In his sets he aims to put all of it in a right balance, and also loves the feeling that he forgets hearing techno at this moment, but beeing in a musical sound experience which teaches you awe (which he experienced so intense from his big influence label zhark or by calling another big influence name: samuel kerridge). For Krushak, Techno is not just a dance medium, but music which sends you through unlimited dimensions. Especially the deeper and dark sounds is were krushak is home. He loves to create the feeling of a fight, the presence of huger beings or other "moments" created by the variation and combining of the used selection.

About the mix: 
My music taste consists 90 % of "serious" music, music which dont trys to give you a feeling of being in a happy or funny place. The Mixture of Dark Ambient and light noisy elements in this mix creates a lightly oppressive feeling, the few slow beat structures which are placed from time to time in there, makes it more intense for me. There are some really long tracks in there which would take the drive out of the experience, so I often putted some short tracks in the middle of them to keep a more unpredictable feeling. (There are titles from videogame music artists in there which get the job done :Mikko Tarmia (Also the intro track), he made the soundtrack for horror games like Amnesia, Penumbra and Soma. Besides of him there are works from Simon W. Autenrieth and Marvin Kopp in there (they worked on the ENDERAL Soundtrack). Last but not least Björn Pankratz´s "Visions" from the ELEX Videogame found its way in there too. Including parts of Soundtracks from inspirering videogames in Techno Sets was always a beloved feature by me (It brings another peace of individuality in there).
In general I tried to keep the balance between frightening, oppressing sounds, but also ancient, holy and mysticical parts! Sometimes The Listener gets rewarded with some "goodfeelmoments" for keeping his ear in this dark atmospheric work.
