Over the years, she has crafted a very unique sonic language that transcends the dance floor, into subliminal rhythmic, ambient, and experimental territories. She has a gift for conjuring dynamic narratives that evoke powerful emotions and otherworldly visualisations.

Timnah has a unique way of drawing the listener into her world, rather than guiding them through their own….. and it’s a beautiful place to be.

Welcome to a brand new chapter of Deep Electronics. The serie brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. Today is the release of a new mixtape called The Sky Has Years by returning artist Scape One 

About:
Kurt Baggaley, also known under the alias as Scape One is an
electronic music producer based in England. Over the course of his career his music has ranged from driving futuristic electro of his early EPs to more deep and ambient electronica of his Tau Sagittarii releases. His output has gradually become more conceptual with works such as 2012's Natural Phases which focuses on down tempo stripped down low-fi beats with wave-formed harmonics and 2015's Former Self consisting of intricate and a slowly building hypnosis of synth sequences.

Kosmic Skaut graces us with a truly stunning mix recorded with tender loving care for the 52nd chapter of our Podcast Series. The Prague via Brno based artist has been a kindred musical soul and a friend for a long time and we’re so happy to finally welcome him to our cozy lil family circle 🤍

Mikuláš aka Kosmic Skaut goes slow and steady behind the decks, interlocking psychedelic, acid-tinged and hypnotic sounds in his DJ sets spanning multitudes of ambient and dance music genres. For Mikuláš, music is all about collectivity and togetherness ~ a takeout from his early years as a boy scout. He materialises this spirit in projects including organising festival Michalský Výpad in Olomouc, co-running the notorious ÉTER collective in Brno and regurlarly putting on his Kosmic Care events at Ankali’s Planeta Za which he always ~ as an aspiring chef and baker ~ supplies with tasty homemade snacks. Once you try his pizzenka (the cute way to say pizza in Czech) and this delicious mix, there’s no coming back 🍕

In this chapter of our Podcast Series, we plunge head first into the deep end of ambient psychedelia as we take off on this phenomenal voyage through Kosmic Skaut’s wild and wonderful imagination. As we move through the mix, so it moves with us, allowing for softness to emerge in waves of amorphous drones melting into one another, layered with textures, field recordings and electro-acoustic instrumentation in the build up to the rhythmical crescendo that sees it conlcude 🌬️

We’re very excited to unveil our latest signing Safety Model and their debut EP Hymnal!

“The red pours from the blue, as we remain luminous, forever scorching under the light.”

‘Hymnal’ is a series of hymns, simultaneously heavy but weightless, empty yet filled with light, each carrying its distinct sensory color. Dedicated to friends and the self, and guided by four meditative but disconcerting pieces, Safety Model takes us on a journey through the kaleidoscopic gauge of existence as life’s forces press, lift, and shake the body and mind.

The EP opens with ‘Point Blank’, closest in proximity to one’s truest essence. Enveloping sounds lull you into their embrace as brittle mechanical textures weave in and out, provoking the senses into fight or flight. Capturing the moment of waking to the self, magnifying the friction between shock and surrender, between fight and acquiescence, the body registers that which cannot be registered. Loss of memories, of love, of life, of self. Point Blank is represented by the color yellow.

‘Feathers (City)’ is the sonic incarnate of colossal yet fragile brutalist spaces; dusty basements that collapse into expansive cityscapes, perpetually decomposing and reassembling through the hymn’s aural extremes. Grounded, heavy textures are interwoven with waves of gauzy synths like wings; harshness and violence meet subtle femininity, reflecting the tension of the inescapable sensory burden of urban life. ‘Feathers (City)’ is represented by the color red.

‘Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead’ is the moment of light intruding on the inner self, when even closed eyelids cannot shield the soul. A forced reflection, abstraction as touch, emulating the sense of brightness pressing down. An intimate ballad with operatic falsetto vocals accompanied by levitating resonances of rusted tone, offering a glimpse into the future of Safety Model. Where The Lights Don’t Fall, They Press Down Instead is represented by the color green.

‘Fall Of Self’ is the final acceptance: the scattered memories don’t and won’t matter. With its stretched strings ringing for an indiscernible duration, suspending time through a seemingly endless crescendo, ‘Fall Of Self’ serves as the temporal counterpart to ‘Point Blank’. A hymn to safety, endurance, and reflection. ‘Fall Of Self ‘is represented by the color blue.

‘Hymnal’ will be released October 3rd via Changeless.
